Only thing that matters is system, roster and ability to excel and play up vs down, bigger monthly check

Any father would be proud and anyone who says otherwise probably doesn't have children.
Not sure how support from preds would not exist elsewhere.

Moral of this story for NHL teams is not to blow picks higher than the 6th or 7th round on Ivy league kids. More often than not they are going 4 years to school. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The only reason to draft an ivy league kid any higher is the Ryan Donato situation where he was talented and drafted by the local team.QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY BOBCATS

I do agree that if you went D1 vs Major junior it's ok to wait and go free agent
The whole hiring dad as scout summer before seems a little like tampering, I am sure a good Harvard lawyer could build a case for it.....

Pro hockey is better for him than the bowling alley known as college hockey
Much more skill game, guys are always where they are supposed to be, not a ton of average players chasing everyone 100 miles an hour with sticks up and running everyone
Good luck to him, he did college the right way, zero drama, totally embraced the culture and super teammate and player
He represented what was good about D1
