Bad move by him if there is truth to any of the rumors out there. He will be out of a job in 3 years and be a nomad just like every NHL coach is.

Bad move by dave hakstol, he only got flyers into playoffs. And if he is fired down the line, he may get another NHL gig. If not, NCAA teams will line up for him. Dean Blais landed back in NCAA after he ventured into pro hockey.

Blais was never a head coach in the NHL either. Hakstol was the first college coach to go to head coach in the NHL ever or in a very long time.

Anyways, just would be an odd move for the Bruins since they are a veteran heavy team and a coach without HC experience in the NHL could lose that locker room fast if Julien could, anyone can!

I said he left for pro hockey and had no problem landing another NCAA job after that.

Just saying if it didn't work out, he can always return to the college game.

That same newspaper was reporting that Millbury was getting the job yesterday. Just saying that people are throwing stuff against the wall and hopes it sticks.

you don't think they would go and get new, better players? to say that the b's have stunk the past 2 season because of claude is crazy. they just don't have the horses. any new coach would be a part of rebuying the groceries.

We will see what happens...some big contracts that underachieved.

He is no smaller then all but one of the Dmen of the future and will be noticeably bigger then Jacob Bryson who will be one of hose unrecognized Friars next year. He's a puck mover which is the quality Leaman values. As a north shore kid maybe Hokey could chime in why PC not NU

Ellis will be missed because he was a known, but if read below there is little concern with Hawkey, he's looked good when he did play.

Two very good kids and hard workers, Forward is elite skater, top handful in prep last year. Dman solid depth guy who could keep getting better, trending up every year. Does everything well, to blossom on Leamans style he will prob have to find a way to identify himself and do something exceptional. Guessing a package deal, good pickup, tough loss for NU. After also losing Gillies I assume they are getting annoyed and will look to start returning the favor

Very interesting move as had never heard any rumblings it dissatisfaction with NU, guessing opportunity to play together was good but noticed even though twins, different years coming in....

If Leaman leaves for the Bruins, he'd be the third former PC coach to be an NHL head coach. Steve Stirling spent two years at PC before becoming Coach & AD at Babson, then five years in the AHL before taking the Islanders job. Lou Lamoriello had two stints as Devils head coach.
