This was a new idea for for me, I thought it might be for others.
I was not pointing at any specific programs, just sharing the tidbit so anyone who wants to can add the idea to their hopper

There are many facets to Title IX it's not all about schollies. It's about equal treatment and opportunities. There are several ways to meet Title IX type issues. Based on some recent reading on the issue must schools do NOT meet Title IX fully.

Webster is probably the fastest, smartest, skilled 2002 forward in North America. Future USA Hockey Star for sure!
Wethington has to be the top rated 2019 grad D.
None of these 3 are in anyway a secret to the Top D1 programs.Pass the puck

1) Iconic School and hockey program with long tradition of success.
2) 7 month season with 65-70 weekend games against Top MN Elite, National and Canadian teams with daily weekday practices.(3 long holiday breaks)
3) Consistent quality coaching and teaching year after year.
4) High USA and D1 Hockey exposure all season long.
5) D1 Coaches can be more comfortable that players at Shattuck understand the commitment of a D1 type hockey/academic/boarding situation.
6) School is filled with like minded kids, coaches, teachers committed to success on ice and in classroom.
The 2 girls teams last season had 7 MN girls of 40 in which 4 were on U16 team(all 4 are National campers).
The boys teams have had many more MN players over the years past but many leave early due to boys having many more less expensive quality training options like Juniors and many place less value on the education side because of course they are all going pro.
Playing for Shattuck is a dream of many MN boys and girls hockey players and their families but the cost is a major deterrent preventing many more elite MN players from going there and there is only limited "need based" tuition assistance.Last edited by AAA Dad; 07-11-2016, 04:13 PM.
