YES! Hockey is back! I may pony up 10 bucks for tonight's game and watch in relative peace with the wife and kids in bed after the first period. I hope the feed is high quality. Tomorrow I will be hosting a B-day party, so I will not be able to consider watching the game.

1-1 after 1. Pankowski ties it up late in the period. UW game blog leaves a lot to be desired.

First period not very impressive for UW 5 on 5 (Providence should get some credit of course). Providence goal came off a centering pass in the low slot where #17 for UW did not cover her player, needed to lift the stick or tie the shooter up. UW's pp looks good quite with a few good chances.

I'm a little surprised Gardner was not in the line-up.

5 goal outburst by UW in the 2nd. 5-1 after 2. UW played much better that period. Providence seems to be able to foil UW's breakout pretty well, but the puck was not in UW's end very much. ARD does have at least 3 huge saves in the game, UW is a little porous on the initial rush and back check.

Yes. Sowchuk has had a couple quality chances, and 4th line really showing up, with goals from Johnson and Harding.

Edit - and Doner. Three of the five from the 4th line.

Looks like it, Harding and Johnson have goals. Harding's goal was a bigtime snipe glove high right in the corner...so was Nurse's, low to the blocker.

All 3 players listed as being on the 4th line (I'm assuming they've been consistent) have a goal!

Yes. Sowchuk has had a couple quality chances, and 4th line really showing up, with goals from Johnson and Harding.

Too bad Sowchuk did not convert on the breakaway, ARD would have got an assist.
