When people who don't know how to shuffle cards properly end up bending them. I understand it's going to happen after a while, but not on the second hand of a brand new deck.

I HATE THE EVIL EMPIRE!" reasons you've listed, and a handful of them going so far as to suggest "SCARY NSA SPYING CONSPIRACY!". All of it was quite silly, truth be told. We all, including the government, know the authors of such articles are beating it to porn, and none of us have any interest in knowing exactly what kind of porn gets them going. Nudes of Ayn Rand, presumably.

It was talked about for over a year. There were hundreds of articles that you could've Googled for, that would've explained how to circumvent and/or disable Mr. Softy's ham-fist, just like your friendly IT professional has done for your work computer. The vast majority of IT companies eventually stop supporting their legacy devices/tools. The only reason this is getting any complaints is 1) The delivery method, which most private companies already have a tool that pushes enterprise-level software updates/patches direct to your machine, so in the era of broadband Internet access, Microsoft building one into future versions of Windows shouldn't shock anyone, and 2) the Win7 diehards who didn't want to risk being "upgraded" to junk like Win 8.x. Win10 has been fine.
Linux is a heck of a lot better anyway.

As a Magic player, if you bend my cards on a shuffle you're purchasing me a new copy of every card in my deck. Do not like people that can't shuffle.

Today in "I'm glad we have a 90 day evaluation period:"

Just hired this kid for carts. And despite our best efforts, he's not getting it. We've seen him slurp pop while talking to the greeter (instead of working), take super long bathroom breaks, and decide to slack off when it gets busy. The other day, our "mule" needed to be charged just as it started getting busy. Kid decides to rearrange carts in the garage instead of getting out there and helping me collect and push.

That will soon be a $15/hr job.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

On that note, my job is not worth that much. I remain convinced that I was hired because I have a pulse and can lift over 50 lbs. I am reminded of Randal's speech at the end of Clerks: "if we're so advanced, what are we doing working here?"

No, it will soon be a job that is computerized and mechanized. Companies won't pay that kind of money for peons to do little jobs like that, they'll make the investment in the computer and infrastructure to do it for free, which are much more justifiable when pay is higher.

"East Town." Someone in my company decided to re-dub out two new towers from "Downtown East" to "East Town" Buildings. First of all, it reads like someone's trying to be far too hip than is good for a financial company such as mine. Second, it sounds too much like Easton when people speak the name, and I hate their sticks and skates. Third, and perhaps most importantly, Downtown East is just so much more descriptive than East Town. The first couple times our properties management team started sending out communications with the new term I thought they were talking about a building on the east coast or in St. Paul, not our new buildings that sit to the west of the Vikings stadium.

ETA: And yes, I know this is to comply with the new Minneapolis re-dubbing of the area as East Town, decided upon by a council of 21 neighborhood and corporate marketing idiots who occupy buildings in the area, but it still sucks the high one. It's one of those names that will undoubtedly be revisited because of its flash-in-the-pan feel.

Squirrels. Ate a BUNCH of grapes I had just about ripe over the weekend. Had enough to probably make a 5 gal batch of wine, now I barely have enough to make 4 jars of jelly. UGH!!!! More fencing and more protection is needed.

Sadly, we were out of town when the robbery took place. They peeled back some fencing I had put up- so I need to do a much better job.

Or some electric fencing, which is very tempting.

Squirrels are innovative creatures. they'll beat that system in 2 days.

What you need is remote sensor technology that senses the squirrel and zaps it with the pellet gun.
