In 2012/13 she had the year that all future players will be measured by, she had serious mojo that not even injury could stop.

The women’s pro league has taken the biggest hit on this. They really need someone like her to create excitement, especially in the US, if they expect to grow their fan base.

Just saw a tweet that Amanda Kessel's career is done due to concussion symptoms.

Can't say it's a surprise but it stinks.

This is big. She was the real deal as they say. One of those irreplaceable players for sure.

Really too bad, watching that video piece reminded me of the chemistry #8 & #22 had that year! It sure would have been fun to watch those two together again. But Amanda's health should be the first concern. Best wishes to her.

If I recall correctly, Sarah Erickson played for Roseau for two years before transferring to Bemidji for her sophomore year. As you say, she would "sorta" be the only other former Ram besides Tianna Gunderson to play for the Gophers.

I saw this link posted by Iceburg on the women's recruiting thread on GPL which shows Amy Potomak (Sarah's younger sister) committed to Minnesota. He mentions that he has not seen any other information on this and I haven't either. Does anyone have any information to confirm this? Here is the link:
