Injury situation is not good. Braun has a never-ending injury. Three starting pitchers injured, a second baseman, and a reliever. Plus the day to day stuff that seems to keep happening.

I like the Moustakas deal, but it will be interesting to see how they get him into the lineup. Can he play anywhere other than third?

edit: just saw McCalvy say Shaw will start at second today, and Moustakas will be in the lineup. So there you go.

I just hope that this rough month is the only rough month of the season.
Thank God for Yelich right now.

I AM GETTING A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT THE LACK OF STARTING PITCHING, MR. STEARNS.

Why have they not gotten Chris Archer yet?

It depends what it costs to get him. Honestly this team while doing great so far is vastly exceeding their preseason expectations and they've done that at least 2 times in recent memory and missed the playoffs both times. If they can get him without changing their long term outlook and giving away key prospects for the future then sure do it.

Right but that doesn't mean you should trade good ones for rentals either.

I know Chris Archer gets thrown around a lot but he's kinda bad this year...

This team sure is fun...excited about the infield depth and flexibility Stearns created...For those of you that like podcasts, I fully suggest you check out Milwaukee's Tailgate (@MKETailgate) hosted by JP Breen, Steve Garczynski and Ryan Topp. Their insight on the weekly podcast and on twitter is great.

                              Yesterday Topp said this:

The 2nd largest failure of the Melvin era (behind not acquiring and developing controllable pitching) was handing managers inflexible rosters. They often had stud hitters, but most were RH power w/ inferior backups. They were always bottom of the league in platoon advantage.

Stearns has gone the complete opposite way. Beyond building the pitching staff around controllable depth, he’s constructed a roster built to mix and match based on the opposing pitcher and game situation. And put in place a management structure to make it work.
I think he's spot on that Stearns has done everything he can to create flexibility for Counsel to do what he thinks will work best that day.

Welp, the sweep of the Dodgers isn't possible after last night's extra inning affair, let's see if they got the series win...

                                *checks box score*

                                *slowly closes laptop*

*places laptop into 55 gallon drum*

*lights 55 gallon drum on fire*

Err... on the bright side, Kratz lowered his ERA? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
