Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

This, I fear, will continue to be his problem in the NHL. He can play and has the talent. But size and strength at that level is beyond anything we can appreciate. I have seen it just so often. If you are not 6'2" and 230 (and sometimes even if you are), you just get creamed. it is truly amazing when you see longer careers for smaller guys like St. Louis or Gionta.

Adam Oates........Before my rookie year in the NHL, my dad made me a Wayne Gretzky highlight tape to study. I have no how idea how he did it. This was 1985. We didn’t have computers. When you wanted to make a highlight tape, you physically had to make a tape. My dad was an engineer, so he was able to stitch together a bunch of Gretzky highlights onto a Betamax tape...... http://www.theplayerstribune.com/ada...ill-in-hockey/

Good to see these boys rewarded. The Adirondack Thunder gave out their season awards Sat. night; Luke was given the Community Service Award while Mike Bergin was named the Team’s Unsung Hero.

Good job Z........ Michael Zalewski received two awards for his play on the ice. Travis Green and the coaching staff pegged the New Hartford, NY native as the Ian Anderson award winner as the team’s Most Improved Player. Secondly, the Mohawk Valley media voted him as their "Player of the Year". Trusted in all situation, Zalewski provided a scoring touch with a knack for the clutch goal. He leads the team with three short-handed goals, and is tied with Taylor Fedun with three game-winning goals. This season he played himself into an NHL contract and a call-up to the National Hockey League after starting the season on an AHL contract. http://www.uticacomets.com/news/deta...-season-awards

Interesting, Milos was released from his ATO yesterday by Utica. I would’ve thought that since he was ineligible for the Playoffs he would’ve been released when the season ended. I looked for him at last Fri.’s game vs Albany but no luck..... http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php

Was hoping the Alb. Devs would’ve won tonight so Hershey & Eric B. would’ve come to town for the AHL East. Con. Finals but Alb. lost Game7 tonight to Toronto. In Hershey’s own Game7 Burgy had 2a (3rd Star) to lead them over WB/S. Good to see Burgy on the mound though.......

The newspaper article about game 7 noted that not only did Burgdoerfer have two assists and a +2 in the game, he also made a play that prevented what would almost certainly have been a winning goal for the Penguins with 30 seconds to play in the third period and the Bears' goalie out of position.

Player/coach Andrew Lord always speaks very highly of Morissette. The two played together at RPI (NCAA Division 1 University) and Lord thinks he is the same type of player now as he was back then....... http://www.cardiffdevils.com/news/mo-returns/
