Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey IV
Sectional play is now underway, and we've already experience the bizarre. I like the fact that the game was NOT decided by a shootout!
Apple Valley girls’ goalie made 112 saves in 6 OTs

Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey IV
the sectionals, especially the sectional finals, are often better than the state tournament because it's everyone's dream to make it to state, so they give it all they got and then some, plus you have neighboring schools with multigenerational rivalries
Burnsville & Hastings played only 4 overtimes
Lakeville North & Rochester JM two, those fans should ask for their money back for such a short game

Edina is the No. 1 seed in Section 6AA, and being a wealthier suburb they carry the moniker "Cake Eaters". Here's a clever little video that pokes fun at them:

Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey IV
Has anyone seen Clarkson recruits Taylor Turnquist or Jenna Brenneman play and can you give me your opinion of them. I see that Brenneman is one of 5 finalists for Senior Goalie of the year and Taylor leads her team in scoring. Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey IV
Connecticut will be getting a very good player in Natalie Snodgrass. She was the No. 1 star for the USA U18 team when they beat Canada, scoring two goals in the final, and she just led her Eastview high school team into the State Tournament, scoring a hat trick in a come-from-behind exciting finish over rival Eagan. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, D1 teams would have loved to have recruited her and be listed on their 2017-18 roster.

the good news for most of the coaches is that she isn't going to one of the perennial powersLast edited by pokechecker; 02-11-2016, 09:46 AM.
