Of course after 40 years of covering for and protecting pedophiles, the Catholic Church has zero credibility when preaching moral wisdom.

That's a mistake. People who vote R and cite opposition to abortion as a reason, are going to continue to vote R. It's equal parts mental conditioning by the Rs, and obvious pandering by the Ds.

Seems reasonable. One issue alone does not define someone as democrat / republican, and most people are not single issue voters.

Does "librul tears" constitute a single-issue voter? If so, you're wrong.

If the DNC thinks they can flip certain districts from red to blue just by running candidates who are opposed to abortion, then I have some lovely oceanfront property in Arizona to sell them.

That's not what this is about. This is about not having a litmus test, which opens the field up to a lot of candidates who are liberal on economics but working in socially conservative districts.

I doubt they are proactively going out and looking for anti choice candidates, but saying if there is an otherwise good candidate in a socially conservative area, they will support them rather than just giving up the seat. There won't be very many of them I'm sure so this is really not a big deal.

I'd guess there will be more pro choice republicans (eg Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Charlie Baker) than there will be anti choice democrats (Bart Stupak comes to mind as one).
