After the last two weekends, this seems like a blow out weekend. But I'm not buying it.

I'm not buying it either, EHF. If they can't get pumped up for these two games then they have more problems than scoring goals.

      Let's go Black!!

Given the recent history between these two teams, I would expect the officials to try to keep things under control by calling it close tonight.

Hope our guys worked on their special teams play this week. They could find themselves spending a lot of time in those situations tonight.

Good point. OTOH we may play so cautiously in order not to get penalties that we will get outplayed even more than I expect.

The recent past has shown that special teams play has been perhaps the most significant difference against Union. Their PP has been one of their strong points for years and especially against us. We have taken far too many penalties, defended them poorly, and hardly been able to make a dent against them on our own PP. If we lose the special teams battle this weekend, it will get ugly and nasty. I agree, the officials will try to keep a lid on this series.

                From RPI's Game Notes:

FRIDAY’S OFFICIALS: The referees on Friday are Peter Feola and Kyle Allen ... The linesmen are Dan Taggart and Bill Bredin.
It's going to be a long night.

                  RPI lines http://www.rpiathletics.com/document...on.pdf?id=1951

There is an extra forward listed (Wood) which means that someone (Bubela again?) is questionable.

It rarely stays close when you play a team that receives the same amount of coddling from the referees as Tom Brady.

                          Union lineup
After sitting out last Saturday’s game, Kevin Shier replaces Tyler Hynes.

                          Forwards (LW-C-RW):
                          Daniel Ciampini/Mike Vecchione/Specner Foo
                          Roman Ammirato/Max Novak/Matt Wilkins
                          Mark Bennett/Ryan Scarfo/Sam Coatta
                          Kevin Shier/Eli Lichtenwald/Michael Pontarelli

                          Defense:
                          Jeff Taylor/Noah Henry
                          J.C. Brassard/Sebastien Gingras
                          Nick DeSimone/Charlie Vasaturo

That is a very very solid lineup for us !!!! No experimenting here.
All four lines are fairly balanced, solid
Novak and Wilkins back on the same line !!!!
                          Scarfo back at center
                          Starting 6 freshmen
                          DUTCHMEN HOCKEY

Now you're whining about other sports too?

All quarterbacks are coddled. You wouldn't notice that because the Bills and Jets haven't had one for about 10 years.
