Well, I figured it's time to start the new thread, as I hadn't seen anyone else post the schedule in the last season thread. Good enough reason for me:

I learned today that the Oct. 25 SNC vs Wisconsin scrimmage is a 'closed door' event...not open to the public..
This is a real shame....robs fans of the chance to see these teams square off for the first time!!!
Why would Wisco make this decision??
Could of sold out the LaBahn Arena...2800--3000 paying customers..
        SNC Men:
        Five Time National Champions: 2008, 2011, 2012, 2014. 2018....
        NCHA Champions: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017. 2018, 2019...

Wasn't it originally said to be part of the Wisconsin season tickets? When SNC beats Wisconsin and no one is there to see it, did it really happen?

Here's what I want to know: does this count towards the 25 game limit? I'm genuinely curious here.

Okay, I thought so. And I think, then, that it counts against Wisconsin's 34-game limit, too.

Still not sure why it's closed-door, though.

Wisconsin is allowed 36 games this season because they are participating in the Alaska tournament to start the season. I guess D1 schools are allowed 34 regular season games in the lower 48. Wisconsin was unable to schedule two more "bonus games" and decided to fill the gap in their schedule with the SNC scrimmage.

There was some chatter in Wisconsin's D1 thread with some fans calling for the scrimmage to be closed to the public because they saw very little upside for the program in scheduling SNC. If they blow SNC out, well they were supposed to. If the game is tight, then it makes them look bad and perhaps shakes the confidence of the underclassmen heavy UW roster?

thats it you nailed it,and I am pretty sure like Norwich and their D1 green foe,it will be a pretty close contest, the onlt thing bad for SNC is that Wisc will have some gametime under their belts, but I am sure the coach will get guys in the game who havnt had much ice time.....should be interesting either way

Any confirmation that Marian Fiala did in fact graduate early?

Why would SNC give up a game when the game is closed to the public; I would think another lower D1 school or Canadian U team would love to play SNC. When Norwich played Dartmouth at Thompson Arena is Hanover the games were open to the public and while it was obvious that Dartmouth had more talent after the game the Dartmouth coaches and players were very complementary to the Norwich program. And both were very competitive.

Why? Kudos to them on their titles. (Or should I say "congradulations"?) SNC is looking for its fifth title. That's it - nothing more implied. There's nothing in that title that suggests it would be the first time someone would do that, or commenting on another school. Yep, Middlebury has more titles than SNC. We're working on it.
