      The AN-12 is one old bird. Even the youngest models, produced in the early 70s, would be over 45 years old. Plus, we're talking Soviet technology, so I'm surprised there are still some being operated, even as cargo planes.

        A sheriff in Alabama took home as personal profit more than $750,000 that was budgeted to feed jail inmates — and then purchased a $740,000 beach house, a reporter at The Birmingham News found.

        And it's perfectly legal in Alabama, according to state law and local officials.

                      You aren't supposed to know about this. My FB feed says no one is paying attention to it because (fill in inflammatory political agenda) despite my feed also being plastered with things about it and it is all over TV.

                            1. (LES!) The first time the bombs were reported here (that I know of) was when they connected the first two. So it was a delayed response, but non-stop since.
                            2. The FedEx bomb went off prematurely, from my understanding. FedEx was NOT the target.
                            Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.
