A buddy of mine bought a bunch of Avs playoff tickets when it looked like the opponent would be the Hawks, which he is now looking to unload. If anybody wants three tickets to Thursday night's game, let me know. They are in one of the upper corners, and are $45 each. You can send me an email through USCHO. (Click on my name, and one of the options is to send me an email.)

You might consider changing your screen name to "Carnac."

And that two month difference in the average age of Rodents and Pioneers is all the proof one needs that DU is still cheating by using overage players.

Didier posted this on Twitter yesterday. Along with Monty's comments about Leggs being one of the team leaders next season, maybe DU won't be having anyone leave early and turn pro. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVIII: On To Better Days!

The lacrosse team has won its past seven games and has only two regular season games remaining on the schedule. The Pioneers play Providence College[3-10] on the road this week before closing the home season on Saturday April 25th against Marquette[5-8]. The Pioneers set a stadium attendance record over the weekend in its game against St. John's. The weather was splendid on Saturday before turning into a snowstorm yesterday. On April 25th the weather in Denver could be anywhere from another snowstorm to a day in the low 80s.

The Pioneers are certainly in a position to host a first round NCAA playoff game the weekend of May 10-11. In advance of that if you're a local alum you might consider picking up a ticket for the Marquette game in two weeks. It's a noontime start and I'm confident another sizable crowd will be on hand. I hope to see some folks at the game.

Denver has jumped to #4 in the current lacrosse rankings.

Despite their lofty poll ranking, they're not currently projected to host an NCAA game, they're 9th in RPI. They have only one top-20 win, against Notre Dame, and ND is in trouble of falling out of the rankings, which would give DU 0 quality wins. They will likely win the Big East tourney anyway, so it's a moot point, but should they falter in the conference tourney, they could be in real trouble...the Big East is weak this year.

Might not be the forum for this, but I think this is the right audience...

Anyone know of anyone interesting in splitting season tickets to DU Hockey this upcoming (and more seasons)? I have four seats, section 20 (where only grandfathered, but not new, 11 game power packs are allowed), rows 3 and 4, seats 19 and 20, and my older son (now 5) is doing U8 hockey Saturday mornings, so we have availability for Friday games. I'm not too keen on moving sections, but moving from full season to Saturday nights only would force a move. I'd sell all ten Friday games at cost, pay the Pioneer movement donation, and give the third playoff game for free. I have a parking pass in lot L parking structure (much shorter walk and covered compared to lot 108), we can split those costs if wanted. Not being a DU alumni not helping much, my network of friends and colleagues either don't care or would prefer other sports. PM me if you want.

I'm surprised Minni would even play Union since the Dutchmen average 21y 11m
                    And Canadians, too.
