I'd ask if he understands how laws work, but he clearly doesn't. On the other hand, I hope the next guy found with an ounce of weed tries this defense.

              Whee.

Didn't Boehner just say something about how Obama could/should do something since he can't pass gas, much less a vote?

This is pretty interesting, not so much for the results as the discussion of methodology.

I Love how it's Obama's fault the government shuts down. Heeeeeelarious.

It's entirely his fault that no one will compromise.

You'd be auto-suspended for a week now if you did that. And if the teacher didn't report you, that would probably be grounds for an instant termination if another student were to report it to administration.

I know that. I'm just saying, there's been a complete overreaction on the part of so many with regards to so many things that were of no consequence back in the day.

I think this is a matter of regional difference. Where I grew up, the sole purpose of any kid bringing any sort of knife to school was as a weapon. Where I live now, I'll bet 2/3rds of the kids know how to skin a deer.

Also, it's not PC-ness that's driving these school districts to have a zero tolerance policy, it's liability.

I wore black almost every day in high school. I also wore a long black London Fog coat. I was introduced at my graduation as The Man in Black (not sure if the Headmaster was paying tribute to Johnny Cash or the Dread Pirate Roberts). Then two morons go and shoot up Columbine High School. Today I'd be sent for counseling.
