Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

I was going to say it wasn't bad, until I saw that the only two teams that had opening day attendance (in raw numbers, not % full) worse than ours was Tampa Bay and Oakland. Even Miami pulled in more.

Again, these aren't percentages and I could have missed a few teams, but not good for the front office...

If enough people stay away that is good. Don't reward the organization for their cheapskate ways. I want to go see a baseball game, but I don't want to support the Twins. I think we'll try to catch a game in Milwaukee at some point when we're down there.

Twins are back to .500. The Royals are good for what ails them I guess.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

The final out was on a pop-up, and the batter stood there in the box watching it, and the catcher tripped over the batter and so the batter was out on interference?

I feel like I've seen more straight-up weird stuff watching this team than anybody else. You could almost predict that a Twins-Royals game in the 2010's would have this play!

While the sweep was good, tonight illustrates more and more that with Twins pitching, it's just a matter of when the starter implodes.

And the catcher.....an ill-advised throw to say the least.

Twins get an early-season off day. Is it snowing in the TC or just wet?

It was snowing in DT Mpls until around 4:30, when I was jumping on my bus out of town. The snow/rain line was slowly moving north then.

The Twins just scored 6 runs on 1 hit, 8 walks, and 3 wild pitches. Great work by the Blue Jays bullpen.

And we were just talking about them winning on batter interference last week. There's some weirdness going on with this team, man!

Anybody see any notes on the last time a major league team walked 8 in 1 inning? I haven't yet, just wondering.
