"... And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;" -- Rudyard Kipling
Speaking only for myself, I'm starting to be won over by this theory. First, I don't think OSU is playing worse or even differently than earlier in the season. Second, based on direct observation, I'd say that:
January UMD > November Wisconsin
Further, the comparison isn't particularly close. However, based on numerous posts by various posters, it also appears that:
January Wisconsin > November Wisconsin.
And the comparison isn't particularly close. So I guess the Buckeyes need to take it up a notch or two if they want to continue to contend for home ice. That makes more sense to me than idea that the Buckeyes are in some sort of slump.
The Unofficial Three Stars for Saturday's game will be up before the end of the weekend. But I gotta give it up for tonight and get some sleep.
This.
Other teams have gotten better as the season has gone on and have stepped it up. The Buckeyes need to do the same, rather than 'getting back to the way they were playing earlier this season' as I wrongly stated earlier. It needs to start next weekend at Bemidji. Otherwise, we're looking at slipping into the fifth spot and hitting the road for the first round.
Anxiously awaiting your three stars from yesterday's game! I had other plans and didn't make it to this weekend's games.

In addition to that which transpires on the ice...could be we're in for a round of intense, raucous shouting salvos launched from various locations on the front lines at Ridder.
I'm pretty confident one participant will bring her typical "pile" of weaponry.
MINNESOTA HOCKEY
GWH: 2012, 2013 NCAA Champions. Back 2 Back.
I'll be there as well.
Well, if you come to town determined to have a bad time, of course you will.I suppose that's in line with your cranky screen name.
But with just a little advance planning, there's a good time to be had in any college hockey town.
This thread certainly isn't the place for a full rehash of the OSU/Michigan rivalry. But the rivalry is over the line in more than one respect, and that's very regrettable. I went to Michigan Stadium once for The Game, and I doubt I'll ever go back. If I do, it will definitely be incognito. And I'm fully aware that things are just as bad, and probably considerably worse, on this end. But very honestly, as long as I leave the OSU gear and the shoulder chip at home, Ann Arbor works out just fine -- with the possible exception of that once every two years Football game.
I highly doubt you'll have any trouble wearing Minnesota gear in Columbus. But if you're really concerned, go the plain clothes route.
Watch out for those Minnesota fans coming to Columbus, especially that CrazyDave guy leading the cheers and singing after every Minnesota goal.![]()
I look forward to the Crazy Dave concert. I just hope he doesn't get too far through his playlist.![]()
Which leads to a vitally important question: At the end of the ritualistic spelling, does the Women's Hockey Crowd include or exclude the "Rah?" IIRC, the Men's Hockey Crowd includes it, but the Football Crowd makes the PA Announcer say it.
Aside to '86: Looks like it's time to open an Ohio State vs. Minnesota thread!
