Sacred Heart, but he didn't play.

RKarger picked Kazzy on the CCT game and we won, but I think maybe her sister put those in.

Kazzy, no. We've won both times I picked Bryce, however, so I don't consider myself a goalie jinx.

Of course, if we're to continue streaks, I'd have to disqualify a couple of my picks next week and/or the week after. Granted, I could pick the backups, but that'd be a bit of a waste.

Nope, but I did intentionally pick him again this week since the last game against Clarkson went so well. And my sister's mostly following the Clarkson women's team this year. She and her friends have taken to making sure they get a few people cheering at the game too.

I had Fulton picked for Friday and then changed it for fear he wouldn't be in the lineup, because I knew I wasn't going to be able to check. Glad he got his first goal!

Congratulations to RKarger! She wins her second week of the season, both of them coming within the past three weeks.

There were ten goals scored during the Clarkson / SLU weekend, none of them including just ineligible players, yet four posters didn't tally a point and five more scored just one.

On Friday, Jason Kasdorf (lugnut and RKarger) pitched a shutout and Mike Zalewski (RPI fan 4 life) potted two goals and assisted on Bubela's game-opening game-winner. That means that both players were worth 5 PtC points. With Kasdorf's shutout, everyone's Clarkson's choices were completely irrelevant.

On Saturday, Nick Bailen scored a goal and assisted on two more, making him worth 7 PtC points. However, as the high-scoring defenseman for the Engineers, he was ineligible. So, it fell to a conglomeration of players at 2 PtC points each. Chris Bradley (assisted Fulton's goal), Travis Fulton (scored third goal), Brock Higgs (scored game-winning goal), Curtis Leonard (assisted Bailen's goal), and Johnny Rogic (scored fourth goal) were all worth 2 points each. Jason Kasdorf was also worth two points, but he didn't get a shutout on Saturday, so he was worth more on Friday. None of the above players were selected. In fact, RPIHFH (Mark Miller (also assisted on Fulton's goal)) was the only poster to score a point with their Saturday RPI choice. SLU's powerplay goal was Greg Carey (ineligible) from George Hughes (ineligible) and Jeremy Wick. Therefore, Wick was the only SLU choice worth any points. Luckily, he was a semi-popular pick with hawthr, REDaero, RKarger, and RPIHFH each picking up that point.

I was the only poster to not pick up a point in either this week or the one previous, dropping me another spot in the standings. RKarger jumped two places and lugnut used Kasdorf's shutout to move past the three-way tie at 51 points. Ralph tallied one point, but hawthr kept pace, so it's still a four-point lead for Ralph in his quest for his second crown.

                    Results! (and link):

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

With the first round of the playoffs, the Engineers' next opponent is finally known. RPI takes on the Brown Bears, whom they won the season series against, 3 points to 1. RPI will also be playing in the Houston Field House, where they are 9-0-0 since December 1st.

Brown took care of business against Clarkson in their opening-round series, advancing to the quarterfinals after failing to do so each of the past two seasons (when they fell to Quinnipiac). This will be the first postseason meeting between the two schools since 2010.

Picks for all three games (meaning that you should have six unique choices) must be in by puck drop on Friday at 7pm, otherwise it's tough peach cobbler for you.

You may not choose the following players for this game:
Rensselaer: Matt Neal NOR Nick Bailen
Brown: Matt Lorito NOR Dennis Robertson
