  • Re: RPI Pros V

Good to see two former RPI players in action in Hershey tonight, as Ryan Haggerty and the Hartford Wolf Pack faced off against Eric Burgdoerfer and the Hershey Bears.

Both represented themselves well, each finishing with a +1 and picking up a primary assist on a go-ahead goal for his team. In Haggerty's case, it was the game-winning goal in Hartford's 3-2 win.

My first thought was that Dolan probably passed the puck to Carey several times while both were in college.

Take a bow to Henny Youngman.
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

            Good day for alums!

Johnny Rogic scored his first professional goal for the Quad City Mallards. He was named 3rd star.

Mathias Lange signed a two year contract extension with the Iserlohn Roosters, apparently the first among his team to receive an extension this season. At least I think that's what the article says!

Allen York won his ECHL-leading 8th game of the season, backstopping a 2-0 shutout for the Everblades. He was named first star.

One disappointing note is that Mike Zalewski was not in the lineup for the Comets, who were playing in the Carrier Dome and set a record for indoor professional hockey attendance at 30,715.

Good to hear that York is finally getting a chance to stay in one place long enough to show his talent. Now maybe he will get a serious look from NHL teams.

It is what ending up shortening the career of brad Tapper(who was of similar size) and sent him to the less injury prone play of Europe. These concussions are additive-each one that occurs is like accumulating compound interest. Truly hope this is not the beginning of trouble.

I wonder if he is really ready. He's repeating himself.

I took my time my time and tried to get in shape so I'm not hesitant when I get back.

.....called the, “stutter step”. Actually, he looked good last night. Started at his usual 3rd line center but to start the 3rd period he was put on the 1st line centering Bjudstat & Huberdeu and they were very good.

BP started on the 1st line tonight with the same 2 mates mentioned above. 21 seconds into the game Bjudstat scores from Huberdeu & Pirri. Some Fla. sites I’ve been following had been pleading to have Pirri on that 1st line. Let’s see how it works out.

Hopefully Yorkie’s injury isn’t serious (if it's his groin.....again)........The goal chased Dansk from the game who allowed three goals on seven shots. In fact, all four goaltenders who dressed for the game played in the first period, as Florida’s Allen York left the game with an injury. Daniel Altshuller stepped in for York, while Joel Martin entered the game in relief for the Wings. York earns the win despite leaving the game at 8:39 of the first period to an injury.....http://floridaeverblades.com/everblades-clip-wings-3-1/

Nothing yet on Yorkie’s injury but Fla. picked up Andy Isles off waivers from Alaska. After scoring his 1st goal (2nd game) with his new team, SC, Brock Higgs is placed on the 21 day injury list.
