Allen York saw his first action of the season....not good. Gave up 5 goals, didn't start the 3rd,,,,http://echl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=9830
after getting the rust knocked off him in his previous start, Yorkie bounced back............ Evansville Goaltender Allen York made his Ford Center debut on Sunday, stopping 36-of-38 shots faced. York’s .947 save percentage earned him the third star of the game consideration. http://www.evansvilleicemen.com/game...ledo-3-2#.UL1L
FWIW, Yorkie had to relieve Karpowich tonight & picked up the win in doing so....http://echl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=9861
Allen York recalled to Springfield....http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php
not to wish an injury to a player but I hope the Springfield backup might be, prompting Yorkie's recall. Curtis McElhinney is having a career year so far so I wouldn't expect much PT there. It did appear since he came off the IR that he was getting the #1 minutes with Evansville. With John Davidson running things now in Columbus I'ld hope that they would have a better plan than the ping-pong game they played with Yorkie last year.
"Life on the Road as an NHL Scout" continued with Neil Little........The rest is history, as soon afterwards Buddy offered me a scholarship to attend Rensselaer, and play division 1 college hockey for the Engineers. Lucky me!! http://flyers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?...a_flyers_scout
this must be something new from the ECAC site....featured game tomorrow will be Brown vs RPI from HFH 1997-98 season http://www.ecachockey.com/men/2012-1...s_RPI_Playback
clik on video to watch....I thought it would be the complete game but it's just the goals although there are several angles of each goal with commentary from the NESN PxP guys. Who are all those people at each end of the icehttp://www.ecachockey.com/men/index
Yup as a young forward. Great to see all those names-Tapper, Healey, Gardiner, Garver. We had some offense that year but even 14 years ago, with all those guys, we still were having power play problems. They were fun to watch though.
Remember that weekend well. We had beaten Harvard the night before and I had figured the Brown game would have been easier. It was freezing cold (what else is new in Troy) in January and we kept warm in section 6 with coffee and Irish Whiskey.

Take the shortest distance to the puck and arrive in ill humor
