Two Spaniards in the Men's Final:

    Nadal (3) vs Ferrer (4)

    Good final, I think!

I wonder what the over / under line is on how many games Sharapova will win in the match. If it were 7, I'd have a tough time deciding whether to take the over or the under, the way Serena has been playing lately. Grudgingly take the over since Sharapova can't be that bad every time against Serena, can she?

EDIT: a competitive match from Sharapova, as Serena wins 6-4, 6-4. Serena is now the 4th woman to have won every Grand Slam tournament twice, along with Chris Evert, Martina Navritalova, and Steffi Graf.

Does U.S. tennis have anyone in the pipeline (men or women) once Serena is done? Certainly doesn't seem like it.

Not really. The USTA makes USA Soccer look downright competent when it comes to developing talent.

Azarenka just goes down in a heap when her leg slips in her Wimbledon 1st round match - doesn't look good for her.

Edit - taped up now and pushing on
