Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1-#59

    Coming in at #49...

    Minnesota State - 3.3837 Points

The Mavericks had one of their program's best seasons, winning over 20 games, making the WCHA Final Five, and making the NCAA Tournament for just the second time. As a result, the Mavericks move up 1 spot, and earned over 3/4 of a point (an approximate 30% bump). With a loaded young team, look for Minnesota State to have another good season next year, and maybe another jump in the rankings.

    49. Minnesota State - 3.3837 Points
    50. Massachusetts - 3.3269 Points
    51. Alabama Huntsville - 2.3369 Points
    52. Army - 1.6095 Points
    53. Canisius - 0.5775 Points
    54. Connecticut - 0.224 Points
    55. Sacred Heart - 0.1629 Points
    56. AIC - 0.0317 Points
    57. Robert Morris - 0.0276 Points
    58. Penn State - 0.0267 Points

      Alaska - 3.424 Points

The Nanooks had a decent season, going 17-16-4. That, combined with a strong 8-8-2 performance against past champions moved the Nanooks up nearly 1/4 of a point. That was just barely enough to hold off Mankato for the 48 spot, as the Nanooks edged the Mavericks by less than 4 hundredths of a point.

      49. Minnesota State - 3.3837 Points

The Lakers had a strong 19-17-5 showing this year, and earned a little over a tenth of a point to remain at #47 in the rankings.

          Holy Cross - 4.7964 Points

The Crusaders went a strong 20-14-3 overall en route to a top 3 finish in Atlantic Hockey this season. Holy Cross drops one spot from #43 due to Quinnipiac's magical run.

          Coming in at #45...

          Nebraska Omaha - 4.4203 Points

The Mavs had a great start to the season, but faded at the end. Led by Hobey Baker Finalist Ryan Walters, Omaha went 19-18-2 on the season. The Mavericks earned nearly 2/3 of a point, and jumped Merrimack for the #45 spot.

          Coming in at #46...

          Merrimack - 4.4007 Points

The Warriors had a disappointing 2012-2013 campaign, but did manage to gain nearly 0.3 points after a 15-17-6 record. It wasn't enough to keep the #45 spot, so the Warriors are down to #46

All of these criteria are routinely cited by denizen-lurkers on this site as proof of the primacy of their favorite team. If "all of the above" what weight is given to each category, or do the rules allow everyone to pull each parameter and its importance out of . . . . . . . . . . . thin air?
Someone should maybe come up with their own criteria and post their own list. Can't wait to see who you pick as #2, because we KNOW who you're picking as #1...

Or Osorojo could read through the posts of the thread and find his/her answer. I guess they apparently don't teach reading/research skills at a cow college.

Putting that ivy league education to fine use. I think the point was less of "what was your criteria" and more along the lines of "why didn't you include this criteria". I'll give Bear Red the benefit of the doubt that he (or she) actually reads the posts here.

I don't think it had any other point than "I'm a contrarian." I highly doubt the Bear reads the posts on this site...at least he/she doesn't show it in his/her posts. I also find it funny when a cow college fan (maybe a grad? student?) tries to use big words. It only shows that the person wants to appear smarter than they actually are. Always get a nice laugh out of that...

That's what happens when you attach the cow college to an ivy league institution...

Oh well...time to move on...and time to add another to the ignore list.

                          Coming in at #43...

                          Alaska Anchorage - 5.3826 Points

The Seawolves had a disastrous campaign this season, going 4-25-7. That resulted in the Seawolves losing 0.015 points...the second straight year of losing points. UAA also dropped one spot, although that had more to do with Quinnipiac moving up than UAA moving down.

                          43. Alaska Anchorage - 5.3826 Points
                          44. Holy Cross - 4.7964 Points
