    #40 Western Michigan Broncos

    Total: 8.101531
    1 year change: +0.129 (#43)
    5 year change: +2.704131 (#35)
    Last year: #39 (down 1)

After several strong seasons to close out the CCHA, the Broncos have slipped the last two years; last year was the first year below .500 since the 2009-10 season. Western will need to improve quickly, playing in a strong conference, in order to keep from sliding further.

        #39 Nebraska Omaha Mavericks

        Total: 10.44678
        1 year change: +5.3863 (#6)
        5 year change: +7.537578 (#20)
        Last year: #45 (up 6)

A solid couple seasons in the NCHC, around .500 both years, turned into a terrific end of the year, with a Final Four birth. Although Providence took the Mavericks out in the semifinals, UNO should be pleased with the finish. Big jumps like this one won't come around without more tournament wins, however.

          #38 RIT Tigers

          Total: 11.27483
          1 year change: +1.8687 (#18)
          5 year change: +3.109331 (#32)
          Last year: #38

RIT was able to turn a 3rd place finish in Atlantic Hockey into a league tournament title, and a win in the NCAA tournament. Last year was the first above .500 in the last three years for the Tigers; continued success will be needed to keep moving in the right direction.

            #37 Bemidji State Beavers

            Total: 12.49938
            1 year change: +0.1825 (#38)
            5 year change: +1.053977 (#47)
            Last year: #37

The Beavers have yet to finish .500 since moving to the WCHA 6 years ago, but were only one game below this year. Bemidji was solid at both ends (#5 offense and #4 defense in conference) but not great in either. A couple more wins could get the team over .500, and move them up the list.

              #36 Vermont Catamounts

              Total: 18.54518
              1 year change: +1.1233 (#22)
              5 year change: +2.716679 (#34)
              Last year: #36

A couple good seasons, including a NCAA appearance in 2013-14, followed 3 poor seasons. Last year ended with a Hockey East semifinal loss; another win or two would help move Vermont up the rankings

                #35 UMass-Lowell River Hawks

                Total: 19.32959
                1 year change: +1.4308 (#20)
                5 year change: +12.22149 (#15)
                Last year: #35

The hiring of Norm Bazin 4 years ago appears to have worked - the River Hawks have been well over .500 each of the last 4 years, won their only season and tournament titles, and made the NCAA tournament 3 years in a row (but not in 2014-15, after losing the Hockey East final). The last few years have been the most successful in program history; continued success like this will help the River Hawks continue to move up.

                  5 year change: +2.291064 (#38)
                  Last year: #34

The Buckeyes have been near .500 for the last 7 seasons, either a little over or a little under. It has been a few years since their last tournament win; a few more wins, especially in tournament situations, would move the Buckeyes up the ladder a bit.

I got abused by Gopher fan earlier in this thread for hypothesizing that UNO would end up 37th, 38th, or 39th on this list, yet, here they are.

Neither Uncle Ray, FS23 or Tipsy McStagger are a Gopher fan.

Been some time back and I did not look, again, frankly. Somebody took umbrage with it, though. I assume one of the aforementioned parties?

                            #33 Brown Bears

                            Total: 22.68349

                            Last year: #33

Other than 2012-13, the Bears have been below .500 every year since 2004-05. They have gained ground by playing recent NCAA champs Yale and Union, and will continue to benefit if they can beat crosstown rival Providence (I think that's right - if I remember from FS23's description, one of the factors is beating former champs).

                              #32 St. Cloud State Huskies

                              Total: 26.9834
                              1 year change: +1.9177 (#17)

                              Last year: #32

St. Cloud finished the regular season below .500 last year, but went to the NCHC final game and then went to the NCAA Regional Final game. In total, the Huskies have been above .500 every year but 1 since 2004-05. Continued success like the last several years should continue to advance St. Cloud, if they can continue it.

                                Last year: #31

The Bobcats have been to the ECAC Final Four each of the last 3 seasons, and lost to Yale in the 2012-13 final game; they have lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament the last 2 seasons. Quinnipiac has never finished below .500 as a Division I program.
