Sweet Valentine! The saga of the 2012 Boston Red Sox

Looks like an 0 - 2 start for the BoSox.

    No you should panic immediately.
Starting pitching is ok, I think Beckett will be fine, but the bull pen and some of the other position players not so much. It's going to be a long year, especially if you expect to make the playoffs. Too many old guys if you ask me.

Why on earth do you have Nick Punto on your roster?

The man is not coming back. He was gone the minute the 2011 season ended.

What's the over/under on when Beckett starts hearing boos?

My first thought was on the way out to the bullpen to warm up, but this is pink hat crew day and the regular fans won't be there until Saturday.

So after the 1st gopher. They can't give away roof top parking on the other side of the Monster.

Re: Sweet Valentine! The saga of the 2012 Boston Red Sox

Is there room on the Rays bandwagon?

    Kidding. sort of.

At the Rays-Yanks game during the FF, I was struck by how easy it is to like the Rays. Then I thought back to the Red Sox and . . . who am I kidding. Just because it was a blessing to be a Sox fan for a couple years doesn't mean it isn't still a curse. I'm stuck with them.

The Popeye's Fried Chicken in Kenmore Square has a sign out this morning that says "4 out of our 5 pitchers like our chicken best!" Ha ha!! All you can do is laugh.

Well, my timing is as good as ever. Much hand-wringing in the Tampa area right now.

From the Bosox perspective, yesterday was still worrying. You still had a top of the rotation starter getting into an early hole.

Still . . . if they can win with Dubront and/or Bard as starter, it'll be a nice weekend, indeed.
