Maybe a bit early to think about the 2024-2025 season, but Coach Taylor is working hard to put a bow on the new recruits for the 2024-2025 season . The graduating Seniors and Grad Students will enter their new jobs with a nice extracurricular "2 time NCAA Champion" on their resumes and hopefully...

Hobart Statesmen Hockey 2024-2025 Reigning D3 Back to Back Champions
As the Hobart Statesmen Hockey team approaches the 2024-2025 season on the heels of winning consecutive NEHC and NCAA championships they and their fans should reflect on this very special accomplishment. Mark Taylor and his coaching staff assembled a very talented team from across America, Canada and...

Tony/troy,
Hobart baseball is back and just swept SLU, and that triple play was rather embarrassing for the Saints. Hobart has a pitching coach as our manager and did a great job recruiting Jr.College and other transfers building on the last year and some first years. I don't know where...

This clarifies the landscape. I was wondering whether Hobart should consider the E8/UCHC over the SUNYAC? The E8/UCHC seems a bit crowded and longer trips into PA, while the SUNYAC seems to be more manageable with quality teams like Patty, Oswego and Cortland and the ability to schedule some strong...

Tony/troy, I think Hobart hockey has been trying to find a more permanent home, hopefully the SUNYAC will be a good combination of travel/quality opponents . The players have stayed with Coach Taylor so no vagabonds from what I've heard, although I'm sure a few of them would be happy to be employed...

I hear you on the traditionalist view....but our regular conference, the Liberty league, has a few D1 hockey teams , and we're happy to have hockey at D3 level. As long as the SUNYAC lets us in, it is the best combination of travel and quality of play. We have one more year in NEHC which has been a...Last edited by Bartman; 04-08-2024, 06:31 AM.

Looks like Hobart rumors to join the SUNYAC are real starting with 2025-26 season( not final/final quite yet). Hobart would have less travel compared to NEHC and some awesome rivalries will develop. New York State hockey will be where it's at . Not sure about Skidmore and Elmira, but they will both...

Congratulations to Coach Taylor for being named the USCHO Coach of the year. He has the program exactly where he wants it with skilled players that unselfishly play together and support each other. All of the players love playing for him and each other. They will compete again next year for the Championship....Last edited by Bartman; 03-28-2024, 12:24 PM.

Hobart will be losing the most from the Defense(5) and some important forwards(4) as well. Every single Senior has been named to the All Academic NEHC and a few have been named to the All American All Academic team. Hopefully a few will take a fifth year, but have not heard yet:
Senior...Last edited by Bartman; 03-25-2024, 11:31 AM.

Tony/troy,
I haven't seen the schedules yet, but if November 2 is the first game, that would be a priority for the banner raising. I understand the long wait for the next Championship , as Hobart lacrosse last had a D3 Champion in 1995 ( a few years after the now ancient 12 year consecutive...

Just got back from witnessing the sweet REPEAT! Trinity certainly made Hobart earn it....only respect for the Bantams and their great host facility. It said it was sold out, 3500 I think. Fan count was about 60 Trinity/40 Hobart, despite the "home ice" advantage. Hobart could return some...

I was actually hoping for an Adrian-Hobart rematch which would make the challenge of a repeat for Hobart intense against the same team they denied a year ago and have a little east v. west flavor. I didn't understand the East v. West until I visited the final four at UWSP and the whole town was "hissing"...Last edited by Bartman; 03-22-2024, 10:05 AM.

Utica should be proud of the effort, I thought after the first 2 goals they might fold, but I held my breath til the open net goal . Great team that has a great future and deserves your support....
