Well, then with apologies - your argument hinges only one what you want the outcome of the conversation to be and your own singular assumptions.
The higher salary and better facilities at PC certainly indicate why Leaman would make that move. It doesn't explain how Union won a NC with their...

Assuming price is not a consideration makes your entire argument irrelevant. Cost of attendance will ALWAYS be the #1 factor in student-athletes choosing a university.
Second of all, my opinion is based on actual DI recruiting experience and the study of DI student-athlete decision making...Last edited by Dan; 04-07-2024, 03:22 PM.

So tired of the facility argument (excuse). Adult reflections on what they think kid should/would want are SO different from what kids actually want or pay attention to. They're 16-18 years old and in awe of any college facility they see. They'll adopt whatever perception of the facility the existing...Last edited by Dan; 04-07-2024, 01:21 PM.

Miami is hiring Tri-Cities (USHL) coach Anthony Noreen; One of the better junior hockey coaches over the last half-decade-plus and often described as energetic and personable in addition to his hard coaching skills. It's a name that certainly makes this alum optimistic and one that would have been on...Last edited by Dan; 04-01-2024, 02:32 PM.

It’s a lot to ask of 18-22 year old kids to show up to a losing product and a half-empty arena and will the team to victory on their energy alone. Spontaneous energy and cheering stems from on-ice excitement and winning games…...

I would be thrilled if UNH sought out both options. A guy like Carter Wilkie from RIT, Matthew Copponi from MC, or the like, would be great additions. Add Sadowski also, and UNH would be in a pretty good spot. The obstacle to doing BOTH would be scholarship money. I have no insight into how UNH has...

At present, Sardaryan is NOT in the portal. I'd imagine McMahon - who I saw report his entry on Twitter - has insight that Sardaryan will be entering; and I'd think we should all expect his imminent entry. However, and for what it is worth, he has not yet officially entered the transfer portal......Last edited by Dan; 03-31-2024, 02:32 PM.

Transfer portal day.
Former UNH targets Matthew Wood (Rumored Minny), John Evans & Nick Ardanaz have entered. Along with the top scorer and #1 goalie at RIT.
Wood is unfortunately not realistic. Ardanaz seems to be a bit of a bust. I wouldn't mind UNH taking a chance on...

Not sure Im supposed to broadcast that fact, so apologies for the discretion....

REF - If Sadowski is interested in coming to UNH, I'd rather have him here developing in lock-step with the young forwards on the roster and building for the future. I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that he's a very good FR next season; certainly he can be a bottom-six hardworking player...

Yes, this point escaped me in the moment and is likely the reason for the RMU portal entries. In other words - they were cut, meaning they're unlikely to change a new program's fortunes. The true underclass 'impact' will enter the portal on Easter Sunday or soon after. Apologies for my oversight and...Last edited by Dan; 03-26-2024, 06:28 PM.

Cafarelli is also officially in the portal.
I'd imagine both he and Gendron parted mutually with the staff. They want more playing time & opportunity, the staff wants/needs the money back for the incoming FR or portal additions of their own...Last edited by Dan; 03-26-2024, 06:27 PM.

The portal is open for undergrads from March 31 to May 14. The only non-graduate portal entrees as of now are players who's program is changing coaches - i.e. Stonehill, Lindenwood, Miami, etc. There are several Robert Morris undergrads in the portal - so either they're making a coaching change quietly,...
