Does the rink have seats?...

Sure, it would have to be an across the board decision in the sport that if the current system remains in place nobody cares about playing a team from your conference if the alternative is the chaos that could ensue this season....

Providence is Friday/Sunday and Springfield is Thursday/Saturday.

So my understanding is they don't care about top seed having early game anymore because of the off day in between. And on that topic, I HATE that they went to this Thursday-Sunday format. Hate it, hate it, hate it. It makes attendance concerns that much worse.

It's an extra 30 minutes to Springfield, that's a lot of time for us Easterners! I prefer BC in Providence regardless of the fact these games are stupidly scheduled for Easter weekend and specifically Easter Sunday....

If they are dead set on avoiding intra conference in round one...
Providence:
1. BC (1)
2. Quinnipiac (7)
3. Wisconsin (9)
4. Colorado College (14)
Springfield (UMass host):
1. BU (2)
2. Michigan State (5)
3. Massachusetts...

The avoiding intra conference games at all costs in round one is just a stupid, stupid rule. Just getting that out of the way.

A PWR twist or decision for the committee if they stick by their stupid avoiding intra conference matchups in round one rule...BC would play one of the NCHC 4 seeds...I know that's just a snapshot at the moment.

Looking very similar to 2011 tournament where BC was #3 in PWR and one of two Eastern schools as #1 seeds. But due to UNH hosting in Manchester and making the tournament as a 4 seed, BC got sent out to St. Louis.
I'd also be very curious how coaches feel about this. BU hasn't played UMass...Last edited by J.D.; Yesterday, 09:24 PM.

Here is the interview I was talking about

I don't know, maybe Brown is a master of disguise but this didn't seem like a coach who expects Perreault to be out for the season. Vote has been out forever so I am not expecting him back...

6,705 on hand, unheard of for the QF round. I still don't know if I like the single elimination format. The only thing I like about it is definitely increases the chance you have a good atmosphere because everyone knows they just have to commit to that one game. I suspect that is what the league likes...

There is another option for you guys if you want to be in Springfield. Root for Cornell (or SLU/Dartmouth) to win the ECAC which could then knock UMass out. But we'll know more after these pivotal game threes in the NCHC tonight. The other factor here is if Omaha makes it in as a 4 seed because they...

Two proper game threes in the NCHC with all four teams hovering the bubble. I would imagine the only known outcome is that if St. Cloud loses they are done? Can any of the other three clinch a spot with a win or officially be eliminated with a loss? Or is that not known?
The only other...

I'll give my nightly stab, only thing I was debating on and pulled the trigger was flipping the locations of Quinnipiac and Minnesota games. You could do Minnesota to Sioux Falls as well.
Providence:
1. BC (1)
2. Quinnipiac (7)
3. Wisconsin (9)
4. Bemidji...

Well, we would have absolute chaos if things ended as is. Took me a while to get to this after a few switches.
Providence:
1. BC (1)
2. Quinnipiac (8)
3. Wisconsin (9)
4. Bemidji State (16)
Springfield (UMass host):
1. Denver (4)...

On that note, with the likelihood that only one of these two can make the field do we think each coach might prefer the chance to sweep a best of 3 series?...

Oooo I didn't realize Omaha was the host in Sioux Falls. At least in the current rankings that doesn't provide much of a headache....

Given the glut of Big Ten #2 seeds at the moment it is looking very likely that Providence will end up being:
1. BC
2. Maine or Quinnipiac
3. Michigan
4. CCHA rep
Very favorable first round game obviously but that potential QF game could be epic. Of course...

I think Will Vote is in witness protection. He's been out for so long now I highly doubt we see him again this year. There has been nothing on his status. If I recall he took a knee to the back of the head against Merrimack and haven't seen him since....

I was saying this LAST year. But I see no appetite for the BC administration to make this move. If you want women's sports to be treated just like men's then it's time to be honest and move on from this coach. She has let NU surpass them and now UConn. Can't win a big game to save her life. She is the...
