I don't think many fans from the first game stuck around. That corner on the right side was all MSU fans in the first game. The building was less than half full until the first intermission of that game too until UM/NoDak fans showed up. I think it is a true sellout, there just aren't fans looking to...

I’ve been watching hockey but it looks like the women had a couple good ones early in the day. Gonzaga-Purdue is a close one for the men and NC State is doing their best Jimmy V impression up 13 on Marquette at half.

That seemed pretty clear cut to me, I’m not sure how that stood as no call.
WMU played great from minutes 10 to 60, but they were nonexistent in OT....

Yeah, but some with more posts are still left open. Maybe those have more data in them with pics? Or they just have to close them one by one....

Yeah, I was surprised C Pietila didn't get a fighting major there. But if he does then BC probably does to since he threw in some punches and ripped his helmet off too and they don't want to make him sit a game.
ESPN can't even keep a studio show in between games? Gotta fit in a quick episode...

Yeah, he got him pretty good. They didn't even review that part of it, they sent him to the locker room before they started looking at the video for anything else in the scrum....

Yeah that counts in a lot of sports. Basketball and football officials are part of the playing surface. Baseball depends on the situation. I've swear I've seen that happen in the NHL before though and it counted....

Just a built-in make-up day so they don't have to try to play a doubleheader right away. It's annoying but it served a purpose this year for the Mets and Phillies. All the teams originally scheduled for today are either in domes or California where a rain out isn't likely....

1-1 after one between Tech and BC. Could probably be 3-3. BC dominated the first eight minutes and Tech had quite a few chances from point blank.

Diamondbacks put up 14 in the 3rd on the Rockies on their way to a 16-1 win. On the other end of the spectrum the Tigers won 1-0 off a sac fly in the 3rd....

Need to get the hamster some more food and water... last three days it's been a coin flip if it'll load or get a busy error clicking on a thread.

I'm glad there's momentum towards this, but I'll be interested to see how they pull it off. As I understand it Yost barely has room for the men and they're already creative in how they utilize the space of the building. I guess they could play at the Ice Cube but that would be a big disparity in resources...

Maybe this will be what breaks the camel's back on the neutral site system. Lots of big name programs that can't be happy.
Denver and BU are already mad about getting shipped away from home and likely end up playing "road" games against the host. Now you've got a regional leaving...

I think this is the second USA-Mexico game in a row where they’ve stopped the match late for the homophobic chants. I don’t watch many full matches of Mexico outside of this, but both USA matches they didn’t stop the game until stoppage time. Is it that the referees don’t acknowledge...

There had been a lot more parity the last few years in the tournament, so this seemed like an abrupt return to the norm. A couple 5 over 4s and a 7 seed Duke over 2 seed OSU gave a few “upsets” yesterday at least....

Missouri region gets Michigan State vs Western Michigan and North Dakota vs Michigan. 2,500 seats in St Louis for two games with those fan bases. They'd get at least 18,500 for those two separately at the higher seed's rinks.
At the very least there's an arena literally across the river...

The NCAA manages to get everyone to schools from Dallas to Buies Creek, NC for every sport minus men’s basketball to host tournament games. I’m sure they can find a way to get a hockey team to Orono in four days....

If you go by the the top 8 seeds hosting format, the capacities are:
BC - 7,800
BU - 6,300
Denver - 6,000
MSU - 6,500
Maine - 5,100
North Dakota - 11,600
Minnesota - 10,000
Wisconsin - 15,300
Almost all of those would be getting sellouts,...

Kim Mulkey with a very normal response to a WaPo story coming out soon.
Whatever it is, oughta be good if it's getting this type of response.
