Many people are saying this is fake news. Many of the best people. It's well known that trump has the stamina of a healthy 18 year old man and functions on as few as 3 hours of sleep for long stretches. When his head droops and jerks and his eyes are closed he isn't sleeping, he's plotting all of...

If only there was a way around this one, simple fact.
I have members who make $35/hour but who complain about my union's efforts to raise minimum wages to first $15 and now $20/hour because they believe it when someone who makes $35,000/hour tells them raising the minimum wage to something...

Drove to TN for 2017. Stepped outside for 2024. 2024 was waaaaay better. For a lot of reasons. The moon was so much closer to the Earth (around 10,000 miles) this time compared to 2017, so the shadow was larger, the disc was larger and totality was much longer. This time I saw totality for nearly...

Corporate media is really rolling the dice. They are very hopeful of a trump win in November because they are hoping 4 more years of his kind of chaos will be great again for their bottom lines, but that is only if a win by trump doesn't turn us in to fascism central. The mainstream medium was dying...

The new jobs report has to be bad news for Biden. Another 300,000+ jobs created. Add to that unemployment falling to 3.8% and inflation last month at an annual rate of 3.2% and its clear he was all but destroyed the economy. 4 more years of that and we'll all be squatting in the dirt without a pot...

60% is an awful high bar and won't be easy in Florida. Michigan and Ohio voters enshrined reproductive rights in their constitutions last year but both votes stalled out at just under 57%. No reason to think Florida will be different....

This seems like a logical take (harm coming to one party or candidate or another party or candidate because they had to spend more time or $$$ in a state than originally expected and ended up neglecting somewhere else) but I wonder if there is evidence of a scholarly sort that backs it up. As I said,...

Another Mass Shooting Part Infinity; AKA Our New Normal
At least 7 shot, all under the age of 17, in mass shooting near Indianapolis mall.
A lot to unpack in this mass shooting. But really, the only real question to ask is, when are enough Americans going to say this insanity has to stop and vote for people who have the stomach to do something...

WeAreNDHockey started a topic So the answer to the absolutely horrible performance of the board is close threads?in USCHO CafeSo the answer to the absolutely horrible performance of the board is close threads?
Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Some closed threads had more than 6000 posts, some had a little over a 1000 and were less than a year old.
I'm really going to miss this place when its gone.

According to USCHO and CHN, the BC/MTU game is on ESPN U. But according to WatchESPN it is on ESPN+, and thus not available to stream via my WatchESPN by logging in to my Spectrum account. Anyone else seeing this?
*ETA* Nevermind, it now shows up as available on both ESPNU and ESPN + and...Last edited by WeAreNDHockey; 03-29-2024, 01:16 PM.

You almost figure it to be a self correcting problem if enough people say "the heck with USCHO."
It isn't like much would be missed from the actual college hockey side of things as their rudimentary coverage is no better than the other, similar coverage that's out there for the...

Saw two separate attendance figures in the box scores for the Springfield regional on both USCHO and College Hockey News. Around 3900 for the first game and 5800 for the second one. Were there two separate admissions, or did they just count the turnstyle for the first game and say those 3900 were...

I figure BC to win it all, but did anyone really question Minnesota's chances in 2006 or 2013? I think the one thing this tournament has shown is not only are there no sure bets, sometimes there aren't even GOOD bets. Its what makes it so entertaining. And while I am pretty much an advocate of returning...
