Was there ever any reason given why the NCAA didn't want intra-conference matchups in the first round? Could it be something as simple and asinine as money? Meaning they would lose half the gate for the second night if one local team was out? I wouldn't put it past the NCAA to use that as a reason....

Are the dates for Providence listed here incorrect:
https://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/conf/NCAA/7
Also, and I know BC would have the early game on Friday, but Boston to Providence on a Friday night is probably the longest road trip in all of college hockey. /hyperbole...

How does BC get punished? They get to stay east. There isn't one scenario that sends them west as the #1 seed. And there shouldn't be. BU is the one that potentially gets screwed....

That was me!! As a team ranked 6th and playing a team ranked 12th, the Gophers should have won that game. On paper, a surface we know the game is not played on. Before that game started, some other BU fans and I were talking about what would keep UMass a three seed and MN beating MI would help. And...

Endorsing is different from voting, right? Because while he won’t publicly endorse Trump, you can’t tell me he’s not going to vote for him....

Well, if they wind up playing Maine, then of course I will.
I am flabbergasted BU is winless against Maine in the HE semis. That does not bode well. This will be another instance of a big game in a hostile environment as I’m thinking there will be a ton of Maine fans in the house....

I was more annoyed they didn’t call a penalty on that second NU player who shoved Macklin after the whistle on that play. If they’re going to call embellishment on Macklin then call hitting after the whistle on that Husky.
As for Webber, methinks BU hired Mr. Miyagi to do that...

I should have been more clear in my earlier post. I know why BU would get sent out west. Before last night’s games, however, BU was still targeted for Springfield. Was it Omaha’s loss last night? Something else? A combination of games? I know the UMass-Providence today game is important,...

What happened last night to cause this? And what should we root for to happen to get BU back to Springfield?

Yes, they are. They come back on Sunday, I believe. Is Northeastern not on break?
As for all the chatter about the HE Awards, people getting left out, etc. - didn't Evan Rodrigues get left of the all the team awards and not even a finalist for PoY? I think he was the second leading scorer...

Yikes - ow! That's not good. How does a titanium rod break?
I had minor surgery on My Left Foot - again - back in late November. I had a tailor bunionette (outside edge of the foot) removed. They didn't have to break the bone, they shaved it down. It's been more than three months and it's...

La la la la la not listening!!!
Seriously, though, now is the time to see if BU has what it takes to kick it into an extra gear. They need to not think that even if they lose tomorrow, they're still OK heading into the NCAAs. Every game needs to be treated as a one and done. Northeastern's...
