Smart moves, then, sticking to his anti-vax views, appearing frequently on Joe Rogan, speaking at Libertarian events, etc. Those seem like sure-fire ways to peel off Biden voters and leave Trump as the last man standing........

I learned that at nature camp in 4th grade (1982), the day we went caving and were talking about our eyes adjusting to the dark - but the fact is that there's NO light in the cave, so even as sensitive as our eyes are, you still can't see in a cave.
Funny how some things stick with you...

2.5 business days until the trial starts. Why does it feel like there is only a 10% chance it actually happens?

Your distinction between "saving" and "investing" is completely artificial. Saving is just one particular kind of investing; you're just investing at whatever your savings/CD interest rate is. Which is cool, but in a very real sense, that's actually just an investment in all the...

And under that scenario, how much will the stock market be worth? How much will government bonds be worth? If you really think the world is going to burn and then flood and then sink into the swamp, where would you suggest that people should invest their money, if not real estate?

Sure, but show me where I can invest in something that is guaranteed to be there in the future? Tbills are probably the closest thing to a sure thing, and even the US credit rating isn’t perfect any more....

Now that's a quality troll job, and an even better clickbait headline:

Don’t remind me.
My brother started there in ~2002. He’s still an individual contributor engineer, never held a management position, and just bought his fourth house. He does rent one of them out though, so there are only 3 left over for his family of 4 to use.

I can't believe they ruined the surprise right in the headline. I would have been on the edge of my seat, wondering the whole time, "Gosh, I wonder which party was committing voter fraud?"

Soooo, if you are facing a criminal charge and have to post a bond to stay out of pretrial detention, all you have to do is get someone to sue you for something and then you get released without a bond?
Truly dizzying logic....

Sums it up for me. I swear I act more Christian than most Christians these days:
To the church of my youth,
What the hell did you expect me to do?
You told me to love my neighbors, to model the life of Jesus. To be kind and considerate, and to stand up for the...
