The NEHC is folding after the 2024-25 season so those 4 programs will be looking for new homes....

I got to witness a packed Kenyon once.
Elmira/Middlebury ncaa quarterfinal game in 2003.
Elmira battled them hard through 40. Were trailing 2-1 after 2 but Middlebury pulled away with 3 in the third.
Kevin Cooper engrained in my brain from that game....

As much as Middlebury has had plenty of success to last a lifetime and then some in the men's hockey ranks, I gotta tell you, it does always feel like something's missing a bit when you don't see their name anywhere near contention in the national picture.
Sounds like a good start this...

Not saying you’re wrong with what might be happening but it’s still just that at this point.
The Empire 8 is not official and even if it becomes official, there is no guarantee that Hobart, Skidmore and Elmira all end up in the same league.
It’s wild out there...

But I was told western hockey is superior and that eastern teams wouldn’t have any players left if there were east refs used because everyone was going to be thrown out of the game....

It’s netting all the way around the entire rink. It’s one of the few drawbacks to an otherwise very nice rink....

Appreciate the kind words. No doubt that is high up there for the most stressed I have ever been in my life. I'd venture I put about 80-90 hours in that week. (that's not trying to claim a badge of honor). Just trying to explain how much work we put into that event to make it what it was.

Oswego would make an excellent WIH Championship host from a facility and ease of travel perspective. Syracuse airport is 35 minutes away and a relatively easy airport to fly in and out of for most places. It's also a reasonable drive for the fan bases from Plattsburgh, Middlebury, Elmira, Norwich etc....
