I doubt that the Delta Center is too small. It seats 18,206 for basketball. The LA Kings and Vegas Golden Knights are playing an exhibition game there in September supposedly in expectation of a future NHL team there....

Here's the answer: Easter Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette at 12:10 in nearby Attleboro followed by an Easter Egg hunt outdoors, all children welcome....

Even if you don't visit the museums you must stop at the Dr Seuss sculpture park on the grounds which is free. It is in walking distance of the arena. Most all of the Seuss characters are there along with the story 'Oh the places you'll go'. I would also be remiss if I did not mention the National Shrine...

Besides the Basketball Hall of Fame there is the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, The Springfield Museums with includes a great Dr Seuss sculpture garden with all 5 museums under a single ticket, Forest Park and the MGM casino. Nearby you have the Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, Mt Tom...

Creighton was a host in Omaha last week but their team played in Pittsburgh so that confirms that the men's side does not place host schools at home. It appears on the women's side that the top seeds 1-4 all host at home....

This may seem strange, but I think a regional in NYC might be in the cards before a Frozen 4. Timing may be better, and the demand may be good if it included local teams that could be placed there. BU and Cornell alumni are all over the city area and any other northeast team could draw there as well....

That was my thought as well. The penalty kill was messed up even more when it was Posma, Malone or Armstrong in the box. It was just an adjustment to get the lines back to order without overplaying or underplaying some. The power play while using a combination of the two lines really wasn't out there...

The NCAA is shooting themselves in the foot scheduling games on Easter weekend. Not only do they lose fans because of family obligations but they again compete with the sweet 16 in basketball for fans attention. I know they think that weekends are better for attendance but by making a day off between...

What a laughable comment by UMass' Carvel. They have a couple of players that have played more games in the Garden than many BC players have having played 4 games by being in the Hockey East championship game two and three years ago. I find that at most anyone from BC could have played is 9 not the...Last edited by BC/HE; 03-25-2024, 08:53 AM.

Easy solution for Missouri. Sell tickets for each game separately, that way you double the attendance there for the first day....

POTY is for Hockey East games only so it has no bearing on having an advantage for the Hobey. Leading your team to the Hockey East championship and then to the Frozen 4 will also factor in besides non league stats....

So if North Dakota wins the NCHC and Michigan State the B1G they both likely end up as 1 seeds then we would then see how well the committee follows precedent. If UMass is a 4 there would be no other option than to place North Dakota in Springfield pitting Michigan State against the NCHC 4 seed. That...

Hopefully they mean what they say here: If five or more teams from one conference make the tournament, then the pairing process according to seed will be the priority.
I don't see how this changes going from band to band, however it may mean that the 1 vs. 16 takes priority over an intraconference...

Nobody is looking at abandoning the selection rules or making major changes to the selection format as you infer here. A very minor tweak such as allowing a 12/13 switch could avoid major disruptions such as giving an overall number 1 or 2 seed a 20 point PWR penalty opponent. You are likely to get...

Protecting the overall number 1 seed has been something that has been used in the past when it has come to intraconference matchups involving 5 or more teams from the same conference. Moving around within bands has been the most common approach as well for the selection committee. They have never gone...

To change the topic: A couple of former Eagles are trying to make their way back to college hockey. Matt Argentina is now in the portal by way of the BCHL. Also it appears Seamus Powell is ready to join Merrimack after a year in the USHL.

If none of those 3 happen there is still a way to get in but St Cloud must lose in the final and Cornell must win the ECAC. Not sure of any others but you may want to check....
