Yeah, therapy is not the cure all that some think it to be. And yeah, being able to afford it at all is definitely an issue.
The ones I feel really bad for are the guys who talk about their issues and how they're trying to work through them but they're having trouble finding a partner and...

I’ve noticed a trend in millennial aged groups that anytime a male discusses anything related to societal expectations, pressures, relationships etc. it’s met with a vocal minority of females loudly saying “you need to go to therapy!”
Now I can understand that a...

In a surprising contrast to other movies (looking at you That Thing You Do!), Empire Records is available on multiple streaming services so I was able to celebrate Rex Manning Day in style.

Haven’t seen reactions to a babyface like Cody in years. He has kids clamoring up the rails for his weight belt yet has smarks yelling “Whoa!” during his entrance. He’s got a weird mix of old school charisma like his dad and the respect of years from his time spent on the indies/ROH/New...

There were reports a while ago (last month?) about TruTV being turned into a more sports focused channel. They’ve already done a few NHL simulcasts with the studio crew providing commentary....

Attention Rex Manning fans, to your left you will notice a shoplifter being chased by night manager, Lucas. This young man will be caught, deep fried in a vat of hot oil and served to our first hundred customers. Just another tasty treat from the gang at Empire Records....

Second US goal was a PK too.

Keep an eye on FedEx. They’ve been going on a big layoff spree as they “restructure” (supposedly they’re finally merging their air and ground operations) and they just lost a multibillion dollar contract with the Postal Service to UPS this week. They’re negotiating with...

UMD as a “have not” school? Please. Sandelin can **** all the way off. The only thing they’re upset about is that they can’t hold these players hostage for all four years of eligibility. Dirty tricks, underhanded methods, and tampering is only supposed to happen before the player starts their eligi...

Meh, it’s gonna happen either way. Good luck policing it. And, honestly, good luck trying to enforce it too without ending up in court.
Edit: I will be honest and say most of this transfer portal drama cracks me up. It seems like it’s mostly mid and upper tier, but not blue...Last edited by Jimjamesak; 04-03-2024, 04:21 PM.

I’m guessing I’m in the minority being pro-transfer portal. It’s good to see the athletes getting some power and freedom. Plus, I think it’s a positive for a school like UAA, I’d rather be ~.500 feeder school than a sub .200 doormat.
I’m also pro-CHL...

I look at UAA's list of players entering the portal and most are players that played in less than half of the games. The only really notable one is the goalie Jared Whale, which is kind of to be expected for a guy that had a 2.65 GAA and .900+ SV.

On one hand, I do feel bad for you fans.
On the other, as a fan of a school who was left for dead by the CCHA schools: Shame (continues eating popcorn)....
