Northeast Regional - Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids MI
Anchorage vs Miami
The RedHawks pulled in a little early to look for the tombstone of their former nickname, which had coincidentally been ceremonially buried there in 1994. Anchorage took that opportunity to start the...

Owen Baker to Michigan Tech from the portal, joining Hurtig in Houghton.
And Levshunov named a 2nd team All-American.

Congratulations on handing the Dump Skunks their record 16th loss in a semifinal, and almost impossible TWELFTH since 1992.

Happy to be assigned with Nimbus. Especially when it could have been Dunleavy or Anzalone.

Awaiting instruction from the Commish (and Shanklin) on assignments to cover the "action".

The Dump Skunks are not starting a women's program. That was an applause line from a loudmouth Regent with no knowledge of the barriers to launching one. Unless Ilitch herself is going to pony up the money for a new ice sheet and scholarships, it's got a 0% chance.
The state of Michigan...

Rick Comley is about to do a radio interview in Lansing. This could be really interesting.
EDIT - says he's disappointed but that's the nature of the sport right now. He's planning on meeting with all the players who are entering the portal to try and figure out if they're A) recruiting...Last edited by John J. MacInnes; 04-03-2024, 09:45 AM.

The portal list is going up to 13 entries and will include Beni Halasz. This is the passive aggressive version of the team storming into the AD office and demanding a coaching change.
But Potulny's buyout will be a major financial obstacle to the NMU athletic department. They tied up a...

In NMU's case, what does this say about Potulny's future? I know he has 2 years left on his deal, but I have this intuition that Comley wants to install one of his guys in that job before he leaves as AD. The clock would be ticking on that scenario if it's going to happen, but with the end of the Wildcat...

Yeah, if you prepped in Woonsocket. Anybody from west of the Massachusetts border didn't exist for that windbag. Or maybe you meant a solid 250 on the scales....

The announce crews were booked months ago. I know one in particular who was part of coverage in the past who was told in January he was not going to be a part of it, because they had already filled all the spots. I also worked games with Ross this year, and he knew in January that he was booked. Availability...

ESPN's Substandard Coverage
They've been bad before, but this year is a new low.
Clay Matvick is the only competent voice they have. Buccigross and Cohen are condescending know-it-alls who don't know anything. Jason Ross? This kid is so lost it's sad. And Roxy Bernstine might be even worse than Leah Hextall was. This...

Is Denise Ilitch going to provide the funding too? Otherwise this was just a cheap applause line....
