I was half-heartedly pulling for BC, just on the basis of HEA loyalty...
But Denver earned it. Has any team ever won the natty while scoring 8 goals in total, and giving up but 3?
I doubt it. Amazing....

His Youtube interview gave us the context.
Best of luck to him. One year of Bradley was far better than no years of Bradley....

Who doesn't hate BU?
But, yeah, the big 10 refs stunk to Hell. I've never seen such obvious penalties go uncalled. That's pretty much a unanimous opinion....

Right.
My concern is that Maine had fallen off kids' radars while under Red, and the portal guys don't see it as a prime destination.
(Imagine if there'd been a portal when Shawn made Maine elite. He'd have been beating plums transfers off with a baseball bat.)...

A lot of us are dancing around the obvious here...
More than likely, stick a fork in Maine for the next couple of years, if not beyond.
Red buried this program from his get-go. As well as Barr has done up to this point, Maine has been delegated to a stepping-stone program due...

Sounds like moneyball to me, and that generally works. The numbers usually don't lie.
Great post....

Well, the portal hasn't made much sense in any sport so far. Guys are bailing right and left for no discernible reason. Really hard to say if Maine (or anyone) can figure it out.
I'd have to think that it'll end up benefiting the blue-bloods and the more recently successful programs than...

Yup.
Maine is in limbo now.
The NB have a geographical reason to stay in Maine, but not so much anyone else.
This next season or two will be crucial for Barr. (Not that he's responsible for Red burying the program for 10 long years.)...

Not worried about that one. He was never a #1 D-1 goalie. And I don't see him making a career in any sort of professional hockey.
I wish him well, but he clearly is another Sullivan type....

Throw Houle into the above mix..?
Pick of the litter, IMO....

RENCEB: If you're a decent player for a bad team, you try to move on. Given the NIL and portal, the "haves" and "have nots" are only going to get further apart. [/QUOTE]
Yes, it'll only get worse.
I'm all for the guys having autonomy, but the portal will...

I really don't see any of them as legit NHL prospects, except for maybe Breen as a 4th-line guy for a cup of coffee or two on a bad team.
Victor will never see the ice in The Show, ditto Charbrier.
Wish all of them well; I've been wrong before....

Jesus, all this portal mayhem...
I think the most important aspect of the whole deal will be whether Maine is viewed as a feeder-school or a destination-school by talented guys in the portal.
Barr is making Maine a more attractive option (by far) than Red ever did, but I don't...

I'm with you. Simply being able to watch every game is such a treat compared to the old days. And I find the announcers easy to ignore....

My heart sank when I saw Victor in net yesterday, and CU played perfectly once they got the lead.
And, yeah, go to Lynah if you can. Great old barn in a fun college town. Can be a tough ticket, though, so buy them early....

Anyone else playing a local bracket? I've been running one for decades, and as a general rule, the winner of the contest knows absolutely nothing about college hockey...
And that's fine. (A few years back, the winner avoided Miami because "they don't have any ice in Miami in April!!!")...
