If Heisenberg is right, we have 5 defensemen that will all be on their last year (or at least potentially, as Jonsson would have one more year if he wanted it) and only one underclass blue liner. Again, if Heisenberg is right, we could have as many as 6 freshmen defensemen for the 25/26 season, which...

Averaging a point every other game. He'll fit right in. (Just teasing!)...

Carpentier played three years at Yale, played 83 games and has a 25-19-44 line. At this point, we need all the offensive help we can get.Last edited by UMLFan; 04-21-2024, 08:18 PM.

I doubt he'll actually play outside of an injury, but really cool to see alum Gustav Grigals has been called up to the Predators prior to the playoffs starting.

For those that might be interested, Hellebuyck has a great shot to win the Vezina for the second time in his career. My guess is that it's between him and Bobrovsky (Florida). Bobrovksy has a better GAA (2.37 v 2.39) but Hellebuyck has a better save rate at 92.1 (v 91.5). Hellebuyck saved over 200 more...

A new update with a couple of changes:- Beni Halasz added through the portal.
- Heisenberg now showing Buchbinder and Dolzhenko 2025 commits, so amending that as well. If that's correct, we only have 7 D for next year.

Yes, I get how it works. As I said, I don't expect Lowell to have a BC type roster with 15 draft picks. But not having a single one doesn't help, no matter how you want to spin it. Did having Meehan be drafted help bring in other recruits ... I have no idea? Does not having a single NHL level player...

I would bet that on average, we're one of the lower ones in Hockey East. I'm not sitting here expecting Lowell to have 15 draft picks on the roster, but having none on the roster isn't a good sign for recruiting other players either. Talent begets talent....

I believe Meehan was the last draft pic we had? That tells you the problem with our recruiting....

Thanks for the correction. I also missed that Bob had already posted about it. Apparently that was a tough morning for me!...

Lowell will be playing in a new tournament next season ... I'm assuming the first Lowell game ever in California. The tournament will be held at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, CA (west of LA). Michigan Tech, Holy Cross and Nebraska Omaha complete the field for the "Coachella Valley Cactus Cup."...

I never understood the big push to get lacrosse as a program at Lowell, as the men's team continues to struggle. They've lost 23 straight, their last win being the season ending game in 2022....

He had really wanted to play here and was a local kid. I hope we find out the real story at some point....
