Something smells fishy here.....

i'm guessing that it has something to do with the fish thrown on the ice after UNH first scores....

I've called F. Lee Bailey as well as Robert Shapiro to help in the litigation of this matter http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

Correct answer: Dwayne Roloson, HE's '94 POTY. 10 pts. to Team UNH. The score at the end of the first day of competition:

UNH 110
MC 40
BU 10

-----------------

Team UNH is back in control of the board, and should post their choice for the next question by the end of the day today.

We will shoot to post the first question for 9:00 a.m. EST tomorrow morning - thanks! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Wouldn't that be 9:00 a.m. EDT? Just wanted to check so there wouldn't be a controversy. http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

I thought we got rid of daylight time about a month or so ago, Jim?? http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/confused.gif

In any case ... 9 o'clock just like today! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Actually we just started daylight savings time (it runs from April to October).

I always thought it was the other way around. I stand corrected ... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/redface.gif

Chuck, for the a.m. (whatever it is referred to as) we'd like to continue with "the show" for 20.

Mr. Murray, Jeopardy host and kind sir:

Since NCAA Watcher misses a question about as often as Mario Lemieux misses an open net, I just wanted to inform you that Joe Fidler played at BC and NOT at BU, and that Mike (a former Cleveland Baron!!) and Mark Fidler were the two brothers from the family to suit up for the Terriers.

Consider this a rare ping off the post for Watcher, dropping his batting average to .950 or so. I say it's time for Cow and Gibber to start driving to the net.

It seems Fidler started at BC, but transferred to BU. See Joe Fidler (http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=00012059)

It seems Joe bounced to all of the Boston Schools (except Harvard) in the mid-70s. Here he is at NU in 1975. (http://www.gonu.com/mhockey/archives/lettermen.html#F)

Geeze, even Bruce Milton only played for two of them.

Man oh man.... way to represent http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Unfortunately, I will only be off and on occasionally throughout the week as I for once do have a job, and it won't let me anywhere near the internet, and I have class in the morning... ugh....

Anyways, great first day so far...

Prehistoric Hockey East for 30 pts.

The youngest of 3 brothers to play for BU, he led the '78 team in scoring, but his stats tailed off drastically for the rest of his career, and unlike his brother Mike, he never played in the NHL.

I can't believe I didn't get this one....DOH! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Correct answer: Mark Fidler. Team UNH gets another 30 pts. and Team MC takes a hit for 30 pts. for an incorrect answer.

UNH 60
BU 10
MC -10

Team UNH retains control of the board, with the next question's ETA being 3:00 p.m. If it doesn't arrive by then, I will send out a note as soon as I get back on when to expect the next one ... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

ya know, ever since NCAA Watcher got one answer right, he has always been first to the gun.... almost too fast.. if you ask me.... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

I just called Johnnie Cochran...

he told me "If it's too good to be true you gotta give it to BU"
