well, yes, but that was a good 10 minutes after i answered, and knew i was too late.. so i went right to lunch.

I, unlike many others, have to work late tonight, so i had to take my lunch.

Originally posted by Chuck Murray:
Schweppie - I posted this right after you posted your prior lunch question:

"LUNCH BREAK DISCUSSION

Does anyone want to continue ahead and do the last two questions at 1:00 and 2:00 and skip lunch break? If there isn't 100% full agreement from one player on each team in the next 15 minutes to skip the break, we'll take the 1:00 break, and finish up with the last two at 2:00 and 3:00 ... "

When I got the "high sign" from Babbitt, Machnik and Watcher, I went ahead and posted the question. It wasn't done to get you PO'ed, but my apologies nonetheless ... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/redface.gif

Remember HE records only include HE games -- I believe Rico had 406 total but "only" 304 in HE games. That's a record that may never be broken because they play fewer league games today (24 as opposed to as many as 34 some years).

Someone needs to tell Schweppie that we are about to start a three day weekend. He is in a Mood, with a capital "M."

Hey Mike, did (does) Rico ply his "trade" in he minors?

when you are told you are here till 7 tonight, and will have to be here for a few hours on Monday, to get a project done. it surely doesn't seem like a weekend at all to me.

That explains it. Please, for the love of Pete, someone have a beer waiting for this man at 7:00 tonight!

Hey Mike, what's your masters in?

Schweppie - what can I say? I'm sorry that it didn't work out. If I had it all to do over again, we'd have skipped the question 'til 2:00 but I'm trying to balance this to work for as many people as possible. Not just me, not just you. Take my word for it, it's tougher than it looks ... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/confused.gif http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

One of the reasons we have 4-5 folks per team was to make sure the teams did have the flexibility to take lunch, do meetings, and whatever else comes up. I don't think that I expected ANYONE was going to be around for ALL the questions. Except me, of course.

I don't want to go completely on the defensive here, but I am trying my best to be fair to as many people as possible at the same time.

Again, I'm sorry ... but let's move on, OK??

well, if we answer it, we are done.

Final Jeopardy - "If At First You Don't Succeed ... "

This HE alum is a native of upstate NY, and was drafted by an "Original Six" team before his Hockey East career began. After two HE seasons, he left to spend the better part of the next 6 years in the AHL and IHL, during which time he never failed to score less than 20 goals in a season. Nevertheless, he was unsuccessful in several brief NHL stints with three (3) different organizations until he returned to the team which originally drafted him in '91, where he has since earned a spot as a checking line forward, scoring 19 goals total while playing two full seasons in the NHL.
