Before I open up a can of worms, if there's going to be any concession, it'll have to come from the team captain(s).
Like I said ... no harm, no foul to give it a shot next Tuesday!! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/biggrin.gif

Or maybe the question meant simply that of all the players who played at all since they have been in HE, who set the record. That's how I read it although it turns out not to matter either way.
Taking out that first year, Norris had 53 whilst Bonneau loses 26 to drop him to 46.

MikeM should be confident enough, and want to show the other conferences 'Mack's prowess, to wager all 350 points. Anything less than 700 points from Hockey East would be an insult to the league.

The Final Jeopardy category is ...
If At First You Don't Succeed
Captains should send their team's final wager to me via private e-mail by the end of the weekend. I've just re-sent a message that I had previously sent to the captains only to all of the players. Should answer any remaining questions out there.
If not, drop a note here or send me an e-mail. Have a great weekend, everyone!! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

If I'm not mistaken we came from behind last year to win.

Correct answer: NU's Rico Rossi who amassed a total of 304 career PIM's. With MC getting 40 pts. the next question becomes a crucial one for sure ...
MC 360
UNH 200
BU 100
----------------------
Last selection will obviously be For The Record for the final 50 pts. before the Final Jeopardy round. Question to be posted at 2:00 p.m. ...

Schweppie - I posted this right after you posted your prior lunch question:
"LUNCH BREAK DISCUSSION
Does anyone want to continue ahead and do the last two questions at 1:00 and 2:00 and skip lunch break? If there isn't 100% full agreement from one player on each team in the next 15 minutes to skip the break, we'll take the 1:00 break, and finish up with the last two at 2:00 and 3:00 ... "
When I got the "high sign" from Babbitt, Machnik and Watcher, I went ahead and posted the question. It wasn't done to get you PO'ed, but my apologies nonetheless ... http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/redface.gif

Rico Rossi is one of the all time classics. If you named an all star team of guys who are characters Rico would be the first line center and probably the MVP. Often imitated, never duplicated. Old time hockey personified.
He actually set the penalty minute record as a sophomore -- the NU season and career record too. He had over 200 minutes at the end of his second year. He actually cleaned it up the next two years and teamed up with Dave Buda and Harry Mews to form a pretty strong line -- all three are still on NU's all time scoring list.
Back in 1988 or 1989 HE came out with the "Hockey East Gift Line". It was a brochure with items you could purchase with the league logo or team logos etc. Much like the HE Online Gift Shop today but there was no WWW then. Anyway one of the things we would do in the press box at NU before games or between periods was come up with additions to the gift line. One was the "Rico Rossi Razor". It was a razor shaped like a hockey stick and you shaved with the blade of the stick. Much like Rico did on the ice. :-)
After NU won the Beanpot in 1988 the tv stations went into the locker room to interview the players. Gary Gillis from Channel 7 went to interview Rico and Rico took the mike out of his hand and started doing the interviews himself. Talk about great moments in college hockey history.
