For The Record for 50 pts.

Since UMass-Amherst joined Hockey East, who is their all-time career goal scoring leader?

Correct answer: ?????

It ain't "Blinky the Wonder Chimp" ...

... and no, it's not Jeff Turner (28) either.

I'm surprised no one took at shot at Rob Bonneau (72), but ...

UMass-Amherst's all-time leading scorer with 73 goals - one (1) more than Bonneau - is indeed Warren Norris!!!

Team MC 410
Team UNH 150
Team BU 100

Sorry, I took the "better to be fast than right" approach.

IRONMAN CLIMBS SCORING LIST: Senior forward Jeff Blanchard (Stoufville, Ont.) has moved into the No. 10 spot on the UMass all-time career scoring list with his 80 career points. Blanchard is currently fourth in career scoring among players since the program was revived in 1993, behind only Rob Bonneau (180 pts.), Warren Norris (154 pts.) and Tom Perry (94 pts.). Blanchard has played in a school record 125 consecutive games at UMass and is also ninth among the all-time assist leaders with 52.

How is final jeopardy going to work? Not that it really matters as it looks like MC has this in the bag....are we doing it today?

Final Jeopardy will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. unless Team UNH and Team BU want to concede?

Personally, I'd like to give it a shot 'cuz it'll give me a chance to work out any kinks in the process for the WCHA and CCHA games, not to mention the National Finals!!! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

On Norris the question is do all his goals count since he didn't score them all in HE...UMass was Independent his first year. Looking at hockeydb.com he scored 20 that year meaning 53 while UMass was in HE. But that is still more than any other Minuteman since they have been in HE.

Or maybe the question meant simply that of all the players who played at all since they have been in HE, who set the record. That's how I read it although it turns out not to matter either way.

Oddly enough as good as we remember Turner being he only scored 33 in his career -- as many as that Merrimack guy who was "not Dan Gravelle" (very funny Kelly :-)) scored in one season.
