Denver's Kevin Doell has tapped in the game winner with an assist from Vines.
Denver wins in overtime, 4-3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This building is going nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a disappointment for NMU. They bow out of the NIT for the second year in a row in overtime. http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/frown.gif
Oh well. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Well, UAH got their two true seniors back in time for tomorrows game (Dwayne Blais and Ryan McCormack). I wonder if a few semi-pro games will hurt their college game any, might help? The "Latvian Lightning", Karlis Zirnis, has had some really good practices and is looking forward to making up for the CHA final! We'll see...
The bed in the motel is a little hard for me so I don't know if I'll get much sleep tonight. If that isn't enough, the airline broke my laptop with wireless modem so I don't think I can post during the games like I did last year. I'll just have to scream real loud! I'll be watching the Hooters Cheerleaders during stoppages and between periods!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLUE!!!!!!!

Ahh, how things come full circle. UNO was able to take the SCI Holiday Shootout in Huntsville, this year, but they NEVER PLAYED THE CHARGERS to get it (it was in the midst of the team's unfortunate 7 game losing streak). Tomorrow the true test.
I expect nothing less than Mark Byrne in goal for the Chargers (although I would love to see Slaton get some playing time). Doug, any word on whether they're going with Jackson or Halli?

I too cannot wait to see how Clarkson loses. I'm sure it will be entertaining as always.
it is nice how UNO will be able to beat all the teams from that tournament now.

Game times today.
I was thinking that since the NCAA West regional doesn't start until Saturday, we could play the Nebraska-Omaha versus Alabama-Huntsville game Friday night starting at 8:00 p.m. Central Time.
The Clarkson versus Lowell game will start tonight at 7:00 Eastern time.
The winners will join Denver and New Hampshire in the semi-finals.

John, how do you simulate these games?

JohnN,
That works for me. Another day in Omaha won't hurt my feelings. Besides, I'm just hangin' at Hooters. These Omaha girls aren't as bad as I was led to believe!
Mike,
Ross is dressing everyoned in no-name jerseys! I guess it's gonna be a "let them figure out who is on the ice" type of game. I wonder who gets the first penalty, we know UAH can kill penalties, they have a lot of experience!
Mav fans: Where shall we have the First Annual NIT First Round "eating and drinking" tournament? I have this "Monkey" we can use as a prize. No, wait a minute, he's already committed. I know! The winner gets another BEER! And find me a designated driver!

RPIRED,
Let's just say the games are scripted "scientifically".
Actually, the results are based on my evaluation of the teams involved.

Oh, for those of us who wondered, we did it! Most penalized team in the nation! We squeaked out WMU in the last game. I'm so proud of our guys, their ability to get misconduct penalties is uncanny! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/biggrin.gif
Hey, maybe Todder or Ant-Dawg dressed out as goons! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/biggrin.gif Look for #69 & #911. http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Ticket sales for tonights game in Lowell are picking up. Apparently they have only 800 left to sell.
Also, NESN announced they will put a Clarkson game on TV if they play in a semi-final. NESN coverd all three RPI games last year and got good ratings.

How about somebody actually creates a real NIT tournament? That would actually be a good thing to see.
