What is the full roster out west ? We should run a Team pool picking who the Rainman will be. Maybe pick a Rainman junior as runner-up to break a tie. I'll buy a beer for the winner. I might even let the winner drink the beer http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

Justin - can you put the roster to choose from ?

I believe that Schweppie thinks he's the Rainman..... but the real Rainman will be someone else.

VicB - we will have to plan on going to Vegas next year...I'll play 17 if you'll play 23 - we could team up and make a killing on the table.

Jenna - it's Fat Tuesday, I saved a Paczki for you...for you catholic folks what are you planning to give up http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

guru,
For those of us of the Greek Orthodox persuasion, Lent began yesterday. So we have a two-day jump on you! No meat for me this week (dare I try it for the entire 40 days?) and I'm trying to be good and not eat junk food either. It gets kind of difficult when these Friday games during March coincide with my fasting. But I figure if I'm a good girl, then I will be rewarded. Doesn't always happen that way, but sometimes it does.

Two words: Manny Ramirez
Hi y'all, long time no post, I've been intensely involved in basketball this year (ok, and 'Gate's been stugglin') and preparing for Spring Training which is Here and now we wait for Opening Day.

So Once Again, Hiya Jen's! Happy Mardi Gras!

For Lent I will give up:
1. Taunting every Indians fan I meet with "Man-ny Ra-mir-ez, Man-ny Ra-mir-ez"
2. Swearing (!!!)

and I will try to be a dutiful student instead of constantly procrastinating on message boards http://www.geocities.com/redraider013/main.html

Peace out, y'all, cheer on Carl and Manny and Pedro and Nomo and Tomo and Val and Trot and Troy If He Sticks Around and Dante and EL GUAPO and Pedro Again and LoweRider and Sang-Hoon Lee and Paxton Crawford and Timmy Wakefield and would somebody please tell Dan Duquette we don't want any Damrn (whew, caught myself) Yankmees on our team David Cone? A'ight, CYa in the funny papers. -Z

Things to give up for Lent: Catholicism.

Just a joke (and I'm glad I'm Methodist).

From Webster's New World Dictionary from Pocket Books copyright 1995:

catholic, adjective
1. All inclusive; universal.
2. Broad in sympathies, tastes, etc.

I'm not trying to start any jihads or anything, but I don't believe in Religion (can I get an AMEN).

But spirituality is a whole different ballgame...

I'd give up coffee, but I'm convinced that it's God's beverage, so to do so would put my eternal soul at jeopardy! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif

I see we are a group of many faiths here...I'm not Catholic but I know a few of their traditions/beliefs. I guess I would consider myself Baptist if I were to chose although I sometimes attend mass with other family members.

I would like to give up Chris Chelios and Larry Murphy if any of you are willing to take them http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

hey team.. http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

I'm not quite sure what I am giving up for Lent.. I actually usually try to do extra 'good' things than go on a 40 day diet... but with the whole no meat and fasting I guess there is a built-in diet anyways...

in an easy way to start to do that lunch thing.. me - nothing... I'm holding out till dinner for my meal.

hope the Vegas Jens are all doing well.. both with the fun and the finances!!! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/wink.gif
(my bet is on Jenna..if anyone can make $ in Vegas, it's her...)
