Us DC-ites got 2-4" yesterday...stop the presses!!! The way the press is covering it, you'd think it was the blizzard of '78.
News: "...and anyone in high accumulation areas (4") is being asked to remove their cars from the streets for the plows..." Since when is 4" high accumulation???
BC: Our grads laugh at southerners in snow!

BCFinn09,
How long have you lived in DC? This happens all of the time. I am not even convinced that we got that much as quite a bit melted before it hit the ground. Also one inch of the stuff on the roads is probably salt.
Top o the mornin team. One Christmas celebration down and two more to go. I received some slacks (hope they fit), homemade candy from the wife, a 15 foot golf ball retriever for those times that I hit em into the water (very often) and from my teammate ScottC some yummy cans of New Hampshires finest seafood soups and bisques. I cannot wait to open them up and try them. Ummmm Ummmmm http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Ralph,
Moved down in June. I was born in VT and everywhere I've lived since then has been somewhere south...even Beantown. While most parts of the U.S. don't know how to deal with falling precipitation, at least Beantown waits until it gets some accumulation before sending out the warnings.
DC: 2-4" of snow = 3 day holiday break for the kids. No joke.

Jenna - I haven't received it yet but I will go to post office on the way to work. It was too funny, last night, when I got home, there was a pkg on the counter. I looked at the label and said, "Oh, these must be the fishing baits I ordered"...that box was ripped out of my hands in about 3 seconds!! yet it sat there all day and he never saw more on the label than my name.
I see 2-4" inches every other day (snow, that is) and seem to get around just fine. You think they could melt it with all that hot air http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif

Just got this in my email, I thought it would be fun ..
**CALLING ALL FASHION POLICE**
This week the Us Weekly "Fashion Police" have a little run-in with the Princess of Pop. I don't want this to be too easy – can you guess who it is from the following two descriptions:
Fashion Cop # 1 : "If those pants were any lower, they'd be knee socks."
Fashion Cop # 2 : "Oops!. . . I wore It in Public."
Click here to see who they're talking about:
http://www.electricartists.com/usweekly/fashionpolice3.jpg
Now it's your turn to comment on the little diva's big fashion no-no. If you could write the "Fashion Police" caption. . . what would it say? What would be your caption
