1) Team must have positive (+) points to participate in Final Jeopardy.

2) Wagers will be placed directly to the emcee IN CONFIDENCE via private e-mail after the Final Jeopardy category is dislcosed.

3) Wagers should be sent by the captain of each team, unless an alternate is designated in advance. The amount of the wager is final and irrevocable, and is to be maintained in confidence by the emcee for disclosure at the end of the round.

4) Each team will have until the beginning of the next day to provide it's wager to the emcee. The emcee will issue a one-hour warning via private e-mail to any team that has yet to respond at that time. If there is no timely wager, the default wager is zero.

5) The Final Jeopardy question will then be posted on the game thread at the agreed time.

6) The teams will have up to twenty (20) minutes to send IN CONFIDENCE an e-mail answer to the emcee (note neither final wager or answer are posted to the game thread).

7) Emcee will enforce time limit using the time on the USCHO board.

8) Any player can be the person to send in the final answer to the emcee, but the first one recieved from each team will be deemed to be the ONLY and OFFICIAL answer.

9) Emcee will then share wagers and answers to all players and on game board to make full disclosure of final outcome and results.

So what time tomorrow is good for the final question?

Any time after 11 AM is fine with me.

Well I guess team SLU is out of it, but at least we got one CCHA question right. We are looking forward to an ECAC Jeopardy next year and we know we will far much better.

3:00 PM works well for me also, let's go with that and hope Team Screw_bill can make one last appearance. C'mon guys; it's just one question (-:

Final Jeopardy Category: CCHA Arenas

Captains, you have until 2:00 PM tomorrow to e-mail me your wagers.

Spaceman, nothing says you can't answer the question anyway, just for fun. Go ahead and e-mail me with an answer once I post the question tomorrow.

And even though no one seemed to be interested, Dave Kronenberg is the CCHA official (linesman) who has been on the board of both the Ann Arbor and Columbus Art Fairs. The Columbus site is the one that stopped showing his name.

Jen - I have seen fights in college hockey on TV (after the Muzzati-Shields game). Most notably, the UM-OSU game a few years ago when "some yahoo threw a yoohoo on the ice!" There was also the UM-MSU game where (Bobby Gassoff?) attacked someone (Rustyn Dolyny?) in the handshake line.

In reference to the Kronenberg Question, here's an article that describes why he's not listed on the page any more.

Spaceman - thanks for rounding up Team SLU to participate in this year's "CCHA Jeopardy". Again - my apologies for some of the difficulties we encountered at the beginning of the game (my fault). I look forward to you heading up another "Team SLU" in next year's inaugural "ECAC Jeopardy" match-up!! :):):)

Gassoff went after Whitten (one of your personal favorites, right?) after the 2-0 UM win at Munn in January 2000.

Team BK answered:

The Lake Superior State Lakers play at Clarence "Taffy" Abel arena. The other one is Clarence L. "Biggie" Munn Arena- Michigan State.

Those are correct!

Team BK wagered 100 pts, so they finish with 320 pts.

Team Screw_bill:

Did not wager and did not answer. They finish with 50 pts.

Team SLU:

Invited to try for fun, but did not answer.

The winner is:

Team BK
Annette
B.R. Marr

john
John Biasi

Take 'em away to the Championship Chuck! (-:

Thanks to our team members... especially our captain who is tall in the saddle... and carried the team to victory.

Thanks to our moderators who put this together... much work appreciated.

Sorry about my lack of participation... family matters interceded most of the past week.

Congratulations to Team BK for their victory in the inaugural CCHA Jeopardy showdown. :)

They will now move on to the College Hockey Jeopardy Finals where they will face the Hockey East champion Team Merrimack and the WCHA champion Team Bucky for ALL THE MARBLES!!!! :):)

Dates for the Finals are to be determined in the near future, but unfortunately will not be taking place next week as I'd hoped. We will somehow have to try to get it done sometime in the early part of the fall, hopefully in September. Follow the boards for further word, and as always, volunteers to help put together some interesting but fair questions are always welcome! :)

Thanks to all the players for participating when you could, and a special thanks to TA Jen and Eric for sticking it out. I can't imagine a more trying set of circumstances to try to finish out a game like this, and to your credit you got the job done. Thanks!! :D:D
