Well, it appears that the transition to the new board wasn't as smooth as it seems. I printed out a copy of the thread shortly before the board went down (thank God). According to my print-out, the Between the Pipes 10 pt question was asked at 12:59 PM CST 7/12/01, NOT 1:59 AM 7/13/01 as it appears on page 2 of this thread on the new board. The question was asked, answered by Annette; Spaceman had a post saying he was bummed he was out of the office because he knew the answer. I won't go into all the missing posts, but you can verify that the question was gone by checking Eric's post at 6:13 PM 7/12/01 on page 3 of this thread---the question is no longer on the Jeopardy board. No way I asked a question not on the board at 2 in the morning; I don't have a computer at home, and I don't work that late (-:

The 'board' as posted last by Eric before the shut-down, my crossed-off paper board, and the board now posted by Eric all match, and the point values on the board posted before the shutdown were:

Team Screw_bill - 50 pts
Team BK - 30 pts
Team SLU - (-90 pts)

so I think we can all agree those are the correct point values.

As far as starting the game: we're waiting on Team SLU. As I posted previously, I had e-mailed Spaceman on Friday. Yesterday, I re-e-mailed Spaceman, as well as the rest of Team SLU. So far, nothing from anyone either here or by e-mail. I think, given the time constraints on getting to Final Jeopardy as mentioned on the other thread, we need for Grand MC Chuck to make a decision on how long we wait for Team SLU.

TA Jen - my recommendation would be to take one more shot at contacting Team SLU, maybe even with a "heads-up" post on a separate D-1 thread tomorrow a.m.?

But if you've already sent out several warnings, and there hasn't been an answer to date, I don't think we can wait forever here. :(

I'll be away from my computer (again) tomorrow, but I'd say let's not hold up the rest of the folks. The site has been back up now for over a week, so we've definitely erred on the side of waiting this long already. Let's get this game back on track!! :):)

P.S. - mattmi, I'd love to allow you to join in, but the game is already in progress. At this rate, maybe YOU could be Team SLU? ;)

Okay, I've sent yet another e-mail to the entire Team SLU and posted on an ECAC thread in DI that was posted on today by one of Team SLU. Seems to me if we don't hear anything by tomorrow, we make plans to start Friday. What think Chuck?

I just got an e-mail from Spaceman saying that he's been too busy to check the thread, but they're ready to play.

Let's start tomorrow with questions at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 PM EST.

First question will be

3 Blind Mice - 40pts

Nobody wants to try the question for fun? [snuffle, sniff]

Sorry guys.
I am at work and can't keep checking to see if there is a question or not.

If we are going to play today, can we attempt it at a set time, like 2 PM to give everyone enough notice?

Sorry folks, I decided it would be more fun to be in a car accident coming from a stupid health evaluation that I shouldn't have had to go to anyway than play Jeopardy. Everyone's okay, rant over.

Seriously, I do apologize. I even tried to call Sidious to post about the delay for me, but my #$%^&*( cell phone battery was dead.

Anyway, I can go at 2 if that's okay.
