Notre Dame dropped their program in the mid 1980's. They rejoined in 1991.
Kent State dropped their program in 1994.
UIC dropped their program in 1996.

I knew UIC did aswell, but choose Kent State because it dropped earlier. They're best player transfered to Clarkson and did not have tosit out a year.

Well, folks, this was a tricky one. The correct answer is University of Illinois-Chicago. The key word was "completely".

Kent State didn't completely drop their program---they kept it at the club level. UIC was the only one in the '90s that totally ditched hockey---for a basketball team that I don't believe has been heard from since. Sad really.

Because Annette had UIC in her answer, Team BK gets 10 points and picks the next question for 4:00 (5:00 EST).

Team BK - 60 pts

Good point Spaceman.

I'll admit I wasn't really sure what to answer, as there was more than one school.

Sorry Jen. Could the fact checkers go through the questions & answers again? It is quite confusing when you expect there to be one answer & there are two (or four when you expect three). Then you have to second guess yourself. "Is my answer wrong or is the question wrong"
I don't want to be a pain in the *****...

actually UIC basketball has has some success they even made the NCAA dance in the late 90's

they play in the midwestern collegiate conference which a small time conference (same conference as university of detroit)

It was not a "trick" question---I just said it was tricky. In the same way that I think people missed the Bishai question because the read the question as in the CCHA, not the nation.

Jen, I don't think that was a fair question. Are you telling me that when you wrote that question you know Kent still had a club team?

Don't mean to be a pain, but I would have said UIC if it was worded better.

Club hockey is a group of students who pay to play. It is not supported by the University. It is not a program.
