Hope everyone is having a good Hump Day. Friday will be here, so hang in there. Got my new car insurance for the Slurmobile. Rates quoted are 40 percent lower than my other policy and that includes an increase in coverage and the accident which will come off my record (knock on wood) this month. Total savings versus my old policy: $385.00 over 6 months :cool: :D YOWZA! YOWZA! YOWZA! The old policy will go "bye, bye" after this weekend.

Greetings -

I am still recovering from a long weekend in Charleston, SC. I finally got down there Saturday afternoon after I was originally supposed to be there Friday night.

Rain all over the east coast delayed my flight from Logan on Friday ensuring that I would miss my connecting flight. I could have gone standby, but the airline wouldn't guarantee it and were not offering hotel/cab/food vouchers. I had to rebook for a 6 AM flight on Sat.

So after an hour bus ride to Logan, waiting in line for almost four hours, I had to get back on the bus ($32 wasted) and get up for the early flight. Missed that flight (so much for my friend who knew her way around) and finally left at 7:15 am. Ugh.

Fortunately Charleston is a beautiful city...much smaller than Boston and much easier to get around. Nice beaches, warm water, great clubs/restaurants, gorgeous women. Made for a good weekend overall and I am now paying the price as I have a box of kleenex and a half gallon of OJ on my desk....but it was worth it.

Jenna - Glad you had a nice vacation on the cape.

i hope the weather is better there than here, where it's almsot more hot and humid than what's on the coast, if that's possible.

Hey there everyone!! Hope you are all having a great weekend. I can't believe the awesome weather we are having up here in Northern MI - sunny, humid and 85 - let's hope it lasts for awhile longer.

VicB - great news about the extra $450 ... and not having to get the cap. It seems like my hands always ache for atleast an hour after I get out of the dentists' chair from gripping the chair arms so hard. I'm a wuss when it comes to pain and needles...last time the dentist gave me a big hug when I got out of the chair. I think he felt sorry for my pathetic ***!

Jenna - hope the Cape is still in one piece :)
