Ah, the game of golf Scarlet. Where to start? Well to give yourself some indication of what you will be in for I would go to a golf driving range and buy a bucket of balls and a ask to use a club and have at it http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif . If you have cable or satellite TV see if your provider gives you THE GOLF CHANNEL. Every evening they run programming called The Golf Academy that teaches a lot about the golf swing and strategy. If you really are serious go and take a few lessons from a Pro. That would probably help the most. All the golf courses and driving ranges give lessons. Most of all: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE and be prepared to spend some money. It is not a cheap game.

Buying clubs.
Buying balls.
Renting carts.
Buying Golf Shoes.
Buying super long distance big head driver.
Buying replacement balls for those which have gone to the Home For Wayward Golf Balls.
Buying replacement 8 iron for the one which went swimming.
Visit to therapist.
Buying more replacement balls.
Marriage Counselor.
Buying new driver to replace one which inexplicably broke over own head.
Medical bills for above.
More visits to therapist.

i group golf in with the experience of sailing. expensive to no end, and something always needs to be fixed etc etc... the one good thing about sailing over golf is that you are already in the water- no balls or clubs in the water... unless you fall off your boat! http://www.uscho.com/board/ubb/smile.gif
