Sounds great; I look forward to seeing the renovated Matthews someday.
Just out of curiousity, what do you have to do to convert a locker room into a "suite?" Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm guessing the old set-up also had changing areas and showers.;)
Otherwise, good write-up.

Just wanted to add a quick comment. The renovations are pretty remarkable actually and exceeded my expectations for sure. The lobby looks very nice now and with the addition of in house video, you won't miss anything if you have to run to the concessions stand! The other nice things have to be the locker rooms - they really are first class. Taking down a few walls and relocating a few others they've seemingly added space to all the right spots. The weight room and training area is first class and should aid their efforts tremendously in the recruiting process. The new seats are very comfortable compared to the old ones for sure and the overall experience I feel will be a great one for the visitors.
The best part about the renovation - they maintained the old charm of the building despite the upgrades. The center ice scoreboard is just right in my mind as it doesn't take over the space and gives you really a nice viewing point for replays and the penalties/scoring/time. First time visitors will be impressed and those who frequent Matthews will be treated to some very noticable improvements that should be enjoyed by all!
